Sermon Poured Through Brother Freedom

…that the church might be a powerful force, that God would use in these last hours, anointed by the Spirit of God, that they might lift those up that are bound. As Paul said, He came to set the captive free. [Eph. 4:8] And THAT is the position of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we not move in our own flesh, but we move after the Spirit of God.
And after the Spirit of God, God says “go ye,” and ye “go ye!” And you listen. And the Lord says, “stop,” you STOP! And you speak. You speak as the Spirit of God.
I remember once I had a dream. And I was in this congregation of good people. And I saw this blue snake crawling under the chairs. And people were eating there. And that snake came to me and reviled me and started saying, “You’re NOTHING!”
And I learned something through this dream. And I am saying it very carefully. I WANT YOU TO KNOW that I am saying it very carefully. But in that dream I said, “I rebuke you, Satan, and your power!” And that snake just blew apart! But it [the words that were said] was under the anointing. But that wasn’t the only thing. Then the people came to me and said, “You killed our pet!” They didn’t recognize what was wrong!
We need discernment! We need the power of God! We are ABSENT from many of these callings. And I told Brother C____ this morning, “I believe that we are like FAMILY!” There is different parts of our body. And we come into a family, here. There might be the gift of discernment. These [gifts] are what God would have us to be. There is NOT one person that has the WHOLE thing! And God made it that way that we might be the CHURCH! Oh, Hallelujah, that we would be as a holy people unto God.
But, you know, see, if you were singular, if a person had EVERYTHING, he might become like Satan! I’m saying, “HE MIGHT!” Or “She might.” And I believe “I WOULD!” I just have a tendency. I think that is why God doesn’t do it that way, I believe [make a saint independent of the Body].
HE gives us the Spirit of Faith. HE gives us the Spirit of discernment. And all these come together by the anointing of God, by the flood of God’s Holy Ghost, that we might be united in a powerful effort to meet off the powers that are coming to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
AND, without THAT [the power of the Holy Ghost] we cannot come against these powers. Our army is stopped! It is failed, because we don’t have that PRESENCE of the Overseer, the Overseer from Heaven, the Overseer, the King of Kings and the Lord of Glory, brought down, Jesus Christ, to the power, the anointing of the Spirit of God, that LIVES WITHIN US, guides us and directs us! Oh, how beautiful the saints, those that proclaim Good News.
You know, I used to go into Jail, a lot of years. And I started seeing that when I had the best results is when I went in by myself. I couldn’t understand it. But there was not a division. If we have a division we lose. That is why [when] the little finger hurts the Body hurts. The Bible talks about it in First Corinthians [1:10], that we walk in UNITY. Unity is the greatest tool. The Bible says, God is against those who sow discord among the brethren [Prov. 6:16 & 19].
And we start walking in our flesh, all these little fleshly things come up. They are little divisions that come up. They are not done intentionally. Everybody is trying to proclaim themselves. But, I will guarantee you: unless we all pray through, and they pray through, it is HARD for us to work for God without these impurities coming out.
“But they that are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” [Romans 8:14] And the Bible says, “In that day you must worship HIM in Spirit and in Truth.” [John 4:23-24]
This is the time for the Holy Ghost to come down! That is why it says, “In the last days He will pour out HIS Spirit.” [Joel 2:28] HE meant for IT to, because “…when the enemy comes in like a flood,” the Bible says, “HE will raise up a STANDARD.” [Isa. 59:19] WE ARE THE STANDARD OF GOD! God chooses to use US!
I love you!
But HE chooses to use us!
I’m not tired, right now, like I was ten minutes ago, because this IS the Spirit of God. But, we have to maintain ourselves through the week with FAITH! We must arm ourselves by FAITH, because we KNOW when the Spirit comes upon us, for when the Spirit comes upon you, you don’t have to apologize. You don’t have to do ANYTHING because you are under HIS sovereign will.
But when THAT [the anointing] leaves you, then is when you walk by faith. You feed yourself. You do everything right. And you walk as close [to God] as you can. BUT, there is a difference when the anointing comes, than when it is not there. And if it doesn’t come you shouldn’t go out and try to do something because it will be wrong! It might be by just the wrong spirit, a fleshly spirit.
And I believe this! I believe there should be such a difference when the Spirit of God comes upon you, when you preach there will be a flowing of God’s ANOINTING! The shekinah Glory will come down! And I believe it is not by might or by power, BUT BY GOD’S SPIRIT saith the Lord. [Zech. 4:6] And there is a DIFFERENCE!!!
I proclaim it: through out the whole week I don’t feel THIS [the anointing], but praise God I know when the anointing comes. I know that when I was called to go to E_____ Hospital in the middle of the night. And I know that when I told them that I would pray for them [rather than go to the hospital]; and God shamed me and told me that I was not really where I should be, that I should be over there praying for that young man myself. God shamed me to the place that I told my wife, “Would you drive to C_____ with me?” [A neighboring city hospital]
And Kendall R_____ was his name. He was facing death. And I said, “I’ve got to work tomorrow.” And the Lord said, “No, no, no, you’ve got to work for ME! That’s first! I’ll help!”
We got over there. It was one o’clock in the morning. Went down to the intensive care unit…and there was four of us, men. Walked down there and this nurse met us at the door and she said, “You guys can’t go in there! I won’t allow you guys to say a word in there.”
And I said, “What if we say that we’ll not say anything out loud? We’ll meet your conditions, but just let our presence go in there and be with Kendall.”
And she says, “I’ll guarantee you, I’m going to call the police if you guys get out of line, ANY!”
We went in. But, inside there was a….ooooohhh the love of God was coming up into Heaven. We didn’t have to be…God was hearing. Oh the sanctuary, that we are to be. And that praise was going forth to touch Kendall, to bring healing. And I saw those [ICU monitors] that were on him: [the indications] started coming back. And he came back to life, within ten minutes time. God’s power is REAL!
I went to Walnut Creek. That’s not anything of me. What I’m saying is “they that wait upon the Lord,” it was brought out here this morning. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary.” [Isa. 40:31]
“Call unto me and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not.” [Jer. 33:3]
We don’t know ANYTHING!!! But God is EVERYTHING!!! As I went to this [meeting], I was to be the speaker in Walnut Creek, California, Full Gospel Business Men. And the Pastor I had went along with us. And we started in the service and the Spirit of God came down. There was a man in a wheelchair. And we felt that NOTHING was to be said. And God was going to move. Somehow, God touched that man in his wheelchair. And you could hear his bones, his joints [cracking as he was straightened]. God was healing him!! And this move of God started there. It was moving upon hearts and lives.
“They that wait upon the Lord…, it was God’s time! God didn’t need me to say a word!
Bless God! Oh bless ye the Lord, oh my soul…all that is within me, bless the Lord!
We need to bless the Lord at all times. His praise needs to “…continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord. The humble shall hear thereof and be glad. Oh magnify the Lord with me. I sought the Lord and HE heard me.” [Psalm 34:1-4]
“I sought the Lord….I sought the Lord.” This [is] prior: “I sought the Lord” through my days before. I sought the Lord through the days, weeks, months, years before. “I sought the Lord and HE heard me! And HE delivered me from all of my fears!” God prepares us. PEOPLE TODAY, HE prepares us for that moment!!!
And Kendall, believe it or not, got a pencil from his Dad. He says, [wrote] “Jesus has touched me!” And that young man at that hospital a few weeks later [was released]. He was in a tremendous car accident. He still can’t move his body, but God touched him.
And there is a power in letting God do it, [rather] than having we do it. We’ve got this thing really backwards. I don’t know [how] to pray. In the eighth chapter of Romans it says, “We know not to pray as we ought. Therefore the Spirit maketh intercession with groaning.” [Rom. 8:26] This is going to be a little bit of a teaching.
But, if you really want to get predictable, you want to get God’s will in your life: wait upon HIM! Move as HE says “move.” Move NOT as you want to move.
Even church services, I, myself, like to wait upon the Lord. Now I know [in] church services we do have a formality, most churches do. But, I still believe in that old fashioned way: “They that wait upon the Lord” shall move MIGHTILY, by the Spirit of God.
God proceeds, a lot of times, through the morning, you get up. HE says, “When I say stop, you STOP, today.” God WILL let you know things! I believe this! I believe that God is ALL powerful. God is ALL understanding. HE is ALL blessings!
But, you know, if we miss out on that Day of HIS coming…and I believe, I am here [as] one today: I don’t believe in eternal security, because of what God showed me in 1975, 76 to 77. I’ve seen [in dreams and visions] lots and lots in these last days that wasn’t going to be making it.
And I am saying this in love. I’ve seen the churches literally being consumed with fire, [only] two or three people coming out! And that alarmed me to the degree that I prayed for years; prayed for just the church, prayed for the churches.
We need to have a VISION. “Without a vision MY people perish.” [Prov 29:18] We need to have vision, that we must be united no longer in our own gain, but God’s gain.
What does God want? And that is [why] we need to seek HIM. There’s plenty to pray about, just call on God and say, “What do you want me to do? I’m here for assignment. I’m parked! I’m going to wait, Lord, until you tell me YOUR way. I’m going to sit right here because I believe it is beneficial for me. And I know it is going to be beneficial for YOU, if I listen to YOU.”
And I believe that is the story of the hour: we that wait upon the Lord.
I love you out there. And I don’t want to make anyone upset. But, I love you!
I found out a few years back, when we upset people we CAUSE TRAGEDIES to take place. Don’t EVER try, the Bible talks about it. Arguments are very bad! And discussions sometimes cause hard feelings, cause the Spirit to move [out]. And we surely don’t want the Spirit to move out of our midst. And I’ll guarantee you those things [differences] work out if you will just wait upon God!
You can take the same verse and read it here, and there may be a different meaning to everyone of us. God does that because of our growth. HE does it because we are individually different. We can’t put what I get out of it onto you, because what you have is probably different than what I need. We all need to realize that we are different. And God has it that way because HE is going to have the most beautiful garden of Jesus’ Bride. It’s going to be WONDERFUL! And that is why you are different, that you can be that ROSE that God meant you to be!
We are NOT the same. We are HIS handiwork. We are HIS craftsmanship, that God might move. HE built this whole world because of this Day that is coming. It’s a fantastic Day. It’s a glorious Day. But, as that Day comes there is going to be a power from the enemy that is going to come upon this world. And you or I cannot stand against it! Only, we are going to have to stand by FAITH, much of the time. It is going to be difficult because a lot of times you are going to be walking by FAITH.
And, then, when you come up to that time, and I saw this two or three times, the enemy says, “I’ve got you!!” At those times, at that very time, God would move you out of that situation!
And I believe that many times God is going to have HIS people in this last hour tested. Those dear saints who have went by the grave are really going to probably have it easier than what we are going to see in these last hours; because there is going to be a flux, an input of wrong spirits that are going to try and adapt themselves, that they might look like…this is what the enemy wants, to look just like God’s people!
And, we must be cautious! We must also have enough understanding, enough discernment, in the Lord. That is why we NEED the leading of the Spirit, that we fall not in the way of the enemy. But, I believe this is very true. I believe that we need to really seek God. And I believe old fashioned prayer meetings are the way to go. We need to pray through and seek God. That’s the answer! And we need to take TIME praying.
And, a lot of times we go to prayer and want to always pray for someone else. The biggest thing we all need to do, each one of us, is to find a place to pray! We should probably pray at least an hour, hour and a half, praying THROUGH.
Then when you pray through, then you start seeking and you start seeing THERE IS A DIFFERENT WORLD, A DIFFERENT BLESSING. And we are living in times when it seems like it takes all of our strength just to make a living, a lot of us. There is a lot of pressure out there. And that is when we need to pray one for another in these last days.
We need to pray as the Spirit leads. The Lord used to, and I am not saying this bragging, but the Lord used to give me the day, the addresses, the cities and people’s names to pray. And I did that for quite a few years. God moves us in different ways.
There is callings that no one needs to know. And God needs HIS “secret police,” sort of. That is what they are. They are not to be seen, but they are moving Heaven. They are the ones that are moving the things, the principalities, powers, because they are God’s policeman. They are doing it, and no one actually knows it, but the Spirit of God.
[At this moment a dear brother attending that day suddenly asked a question. The anointing of the Spirit lifted and Brother Freedom could not go on since the Spirit was no longer bringing inspiration to him. When the anointing lifts Brother Freedom is not able to minister. Many believers do not realize how very sensitive the Holy Ghost is, nor do they understand what the Holy Ghost considers an interruption.]
