WE ARE THE ANSWER FOR THAT TIME!

I’m not really anything. But, I know Someone who is everything! And I learned that when I decreased HE increases. Oh, Glory! I’ve seen a lot of men come to Jesus Christ over the years, a lot of women too, by the power of God’s Spirit. And I believe in the Spirit. I’ve seen many Caterpillar machines that God totally healed. Hearts have been healed and lives have been touched. And I believe in the move of HIS Spirit. The Bible says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” [2nd Corinthians 3:17] And, there is peace, there is joy.
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” [Romans 14:17] “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” [Nehemiah 8:10b]
Let’s praise the Lord! Hallelujah, He is worthy of all praise! Hallelujah! Lord, we LOVE YOU!! Glory be to God! We worship YOU! We thank YOU! Hallelujah! Thou art worthy oh God! We praise you this day! Wonderful Lord, mighty God we praise YOU! [The congregation joined in exaltation and praise.]
We want to see YOUR move upon your people. And Father, we know that these are blessed people of YOURS! We know for they have been blessed by YOU and YOU are using their praises and their glory to YOU this day. And Father, we pray for mighty miracles to be on Faith Tabernacle [Assembly], here, this day. We pray for every heart, every soul. We pray for the move of YOUR Spirit to be upon us. We pray for REVIVAL! We pray for the stirring of hearts and lives. And we thank YOU this day. We praise YOU this day. We WORSHIP YOU this day. Glory be to God! Father, we bind all the hindering forces of the enemy that would come this way. And Father we pray: “He’s bound! He cannot come in this place,” Father God. And we loose your Spirit. We loose the power of the Holy Ghost. We pray for YOUR Spirit to have liberty this night, in the NAME of JESUS! We pray for a healing touch to be upon every life, every heart. And we give YOU GLORY and HONOR. We praise YOU this night, in the wonderful name of JESUS!
It is really very satisfying living for God. It is VERY satisfying because as a young man I wanted to be a pastor, really I did. And I wanted to be an evangelist. And I even started to Bible school. They told me, “You know, you’re not really cut out for this.” And I said, “I guess so, that’s right.” So, I quit and I went to Korea.
But, [while] I was over in Korea I really made a covenant with God that I was going to be an overcomer. At that time that I was there, that [if] I had to meet the end of my days: I was going to live the very best that I could live. And I can say that when I was in the military I tried to live above reproach.
And I believe that each one of us has a testimony, and you have a position with men, with women that you are watched, very carefully. And just the other day I was at a truck stop….eating lunch with a man that I work with…about six of us [were] there. And this lady came up and says, “You were the high school teacher at Bethel Temple for certain years.” And I said, “Yes, I was.” She said, “Well, there’s a young lady who is my best friend.” [That young lady had been in Brother Freedom’s class.]
I don’t even remember her! I really don’t. And she said, “What you told her one time changed her life.” I’m not giving [myself the glory]. I’m giving God the glory! I don’t even know what it was [that I said.] What I am saying: WE HAVE RESPONSIBILITY, EACH ONE OF US, THAT WHERE WE GO THAT GOD’S BLESSINGS ARE UPON YOU; that you are above reproach. That you are God’s man. That you are God’s woman for that hour. And I believe that!
I believe that God is using us in these last days that we might carry out the mission beyond the church. I love the church. I feel glorious about the church. But, I believe there is a mission also for beyond the church, out there in the valley; out there among the prisons, out wherever you are, that the Spirit of God is resting upon you. “…where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” [2nd Corinthians 3:17]
We need that presence of God, the overwhelming power of God to avail! “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1st John 4:4b] “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14:27b] God is glorious! And we need to realize that we are on the winning side. I believe that HE is coming through the clouds of glory very soon. And I believe HE is calling for a people that mean business with HIM this day!
You know, we really, really, really care, care for those round about us, for the lowly, for those that do not know Jesus. Do we have, do I have that heart of love, compassion?
In First Chronicles, the Fourth chapter, I’d like to read something that has really caught my eye:
“And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.” [1st Chronicles 4:9]
His name really wasn’t much, BUT,- – and that’s where we find ourselves. We find ourselves in life, not really having much in ourselves. I have nothing to offer in myself. I can do NOTHING within myself!! And the more I realize that, the more I cannot do NOTHING within myself!
My help comes from the Lord !!
“And Jabez called…” The message, I never planned this tonight; but I know this is what [God has.] [1st Chronicles 4:10a]
“…Jabez CALLED…” on the Lord! And I think that it is time, it is HIGH TIME!
The Bible says in Romans the Thirteenth chapter, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is HIGH TIME to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let US therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let US put on the armour of light.” [Romans 13:11-12]
The Bible says, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” [2nd Corinthians 6:16-18]
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let US cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” [2nd Corinthians 7:1]
We need to CALL upon God as we’ve never called upon God. We need to SEEK God.
I remember the time, back in the Fifties, after receiving the Lord in my heart, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, but in the later Sixties, I was with [a large Caterpillar repair company]. And I wanted MORE of God. For about ten years I really sought God in a deeper [dimension], and in 1976 I was in [my service truck]. And one day I had two accidents, that could have been fatal accidents. The truck didn’t have a scratch on it!! [In the first accident another truck came around the bend on a mountain road.] I went over the bank [of] about a 250 foot cliff. [The Caterpillar Service Truck went over the edge and was caught by a huge boulder.] It was God’s hand!
But [in the second accident] God spoke to me and said, “I have called you.” And I wondered. Here I’ve been seeking God, and I was amazed: HIM calling me. And finally the Lord spoke to me and said, “What do you know?”
I said, “I don’t know anything, but a little about YOU and little bit about Caterpillar.”
And the Lord spoke to my heart, “I want you to stay right where you are. And I’ll teach you of ME.”
And I was on my way up here [to this city], on the Interstate and the Spirit of God spoke to me and said, “You shut that radio off!” [That was the two-way radio of my employer.] I shut the radio off and God spoke to me and said, “I’ve got you a formula that you will KEEP until I tell you to quit! And I want you to tithe your time, even the job you have as reading MY WORD! And then when you get behind the steering wheel of this truck I want you to pray in the Spirit!” And this went on about fifteen years.
{Note: After God spoke Brother Freedom began to rise at 3 A.M. and read the Bible two and a half hours a day, seven days a week. He would drive two to four hours a day to job assignments and while behind the wheel he would pray in the Heavenly Language. By the time he arrived at the job the Spirit had showed him what plan he would follow and even how to accomplish the particular repair on the equipment he would service.}
And God started showing me He’s “…not slack concerning HIS promise…” [2nd Peter 3:9] HE loved even me!
But, I went to church and they said, “We’ll let [Brother Freedom] go out and change the tires. We’ll do the things for God! We’ll do the spiritual things!”
And you know I love God! And I wanted to be a “tag-a-long.” And I wanted to be one that could do a little bit of that too. But God heard me calling out to HIM.
And, here tonight, if you have a need, if you have a request we need to call out to God. We need to start having revival! We need to call upon the Lord “…while HE is near.” [Isaiah 55:6b] We need to forsake the ways of this world. We need to seek HIS face [2nd Chronicles 7:14] that his blessings might be upon you. Glory to God!
As Jonah preached at Nineveh, he went down and this king over this people: it touched the king’s heart! Jonah went down and Jonah thought he was not a match with [the calling]. But, God’s Spirit was upon Jonah!! And as Jonah spoke, that King received that message. He said, “We better do something about this! We better put on…” And he commanded his people to put on sack cloth and ashes. And they [were] to come trembling to God, that God might change his heart, which HE did!
I believe “…now is the day of salvation.” [2nd Corinthians 6:2b] And now is the day of the coming of our Lord. But, we know there are many trying things that is coming to this world. There’s many things that is not of God, that is coming upon this world. And if we are not careful we are caught up IN THEM! About them, we need to everyday…I believe there is one way that we can go beyond that, and that is PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT! [See Jude 1:20] There’s a cleansing that takes place when you pray in the Spirit, when you pray in that heavenly language; when you seek God and say, “Lord, I don’t know what YOU want me to do?”
And I’ve learned one thing. I never plan my day. I never plan to go. I never ask for an engagement, like here tonight. I do as only God would have me to do. And I believe that is the way God would have us be.
I remember one morning God spoke to my heart, and I was praying in the Spirit of God and God spoke to my heart. He said, “In just a few minutes I want you to take off, and I want you to drive down the highway. I want you to go to [a certain] ranch, because I’m going to be using you. And as you get down there you are going to see an accident; and if you will stay true that the life of this one, that is going to be in an accident, will be saved.”
And I had that faith believing it was from God. And as I started traveling down that road I seen this girl. I didn’t know she was a girl at the time. But I seen this Dodge pickup hit one of those big walnut trees. And that pickup just exploded. And I prayed for her. And I got her into my truck, because I did a lot of praying behind that [wheel].
And I believe there is holy ground where you pray! I believe that God honors your faith. Here today the Bible says HE honors whatever we do [in faith]. [Matthew 9:29] HE doesn’t forget about that ministry of love. HE remembers that! And I believe that!
I knew the girl, actually! I said, “N_______, would you get behind the [wheel of my truck] and let me pray for you?” A Highway patrolman was coming and a State worker. And I touched her. And I never seen this happen before, because this was new for me. This was NEW! This was sort of the beginning. And I layed my hands on her. And she was bleeding from the nose. I was in Korea and I’d seen shock, and she was in shock. And God healed her, touched her immediately! I seen [the blood stop!] This is the power of God. I am nothing!! I want you to realize that I am not here to boast in myself! But I want to boast on God!! HE is worthy of all praise!
“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble…” HALLELUJAH!! “…shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me,…I sought the LORD…” [Psalm 34:1-4a] We need to seek God as we NEVER sought HIM before! We need to call upon HIS name! We need to have victory! Hallelujah!
And when I need help [on] those Caterpillars, “Lord I need YOUR help right now!” He says, “My son, it’s this.” I learned that I didn’t know very much about them! I knew that HE was the Master Craftsman of everything! And HE was interested in everything! I didn’t think that HE was interested in anything that I did. And I figured that I had to be in this church pew, and I was always there. And I’d even get up at the altars and I’d pray, and pray and pray. And I realized, finally God told me: “I want you to live it out where you are! When you come there you be a blessing! Your presence makes the difference.”
Our presence makes a difference in the ministry of God! Your presence binds powers of darkness, that you can bring forth the leadership of God’s ANOINTING! The anointing breaks the yoke! [Isaiah 10:27b] And we need the anointing as we have never had the anointing before. We need the anointing of GOD to move upon angry spirits. We need the liberty of God to bless us, to touch us, to use us for the glory of God. I believe in this last day that God is going to move MIGHTILY!
I’ve had a lot of time to speak to God. And I am nothing, but God is glorious! And I had a shop, the last shop I had. I was trying to retire. Brother C____ remembers it. And one day God come down to the shop and said, “My son, I’m viewing you! Keep going on. But I’m here with you.” I was praising God.
Isn’t it wonderful that God could take time to have time with you….with me!!! It’s beyond me that a God of everything, that knows everything, that is everything, that can do all things…yet HE has time enough that HE cares about you. HE cares for us!! Isn’t that glorious??!! That excites me! That brings joy! The joy of the LORD is my strength!! [Nehemiah 8:10b] It brings victory! It lifts the old man up high with the presence of God. It’s the glory of God!
God wants to heal these bodies. And I’ll tell you if you have joy your blood pressure comes down, all the problems come down. And it’s a known fact that cancer cannot even come in if you give glory to God. I’ve heard this: that cancer generally starts because of a trauma. Trauma is a tool from the enemy.
And here this night, the Bible says, “…though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal…” [2nd Corinthians 10:3] Our weapons are NOT carnal! Brother, we got big guns with God. We might be little size, but God says, “I’m going to take care of that old boy! I’m going to take care of him! I’m going to bless them if they go to Haiti. I’m going to bless them in Israel I’m going to bless them wherever they go.”
And we can have that assurance that your feet are blessed by God! The Bible says HE orders our steps! [Psalm 37:23]. “Blessed is the man…” the woman “…that walketh NOT in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. BUT his delight is IN the law of the LORD;…” {At this point Brother Freedom praised God in another language for a few seconds.} Hallelujah! Glory to God! “But his delight is in the law of the LORD: and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;…” [Psalm 1:1-3a]
Before we go any farther, I’ve run Cat quite a bit. I’ve run D9. I worked on T_______ Dam up there. But I remember clearing land. It takes a big Cat to push a big tree. And some of these trees that are planted down DEEP in the ground, you can’t hardly get them out. They’re there, whatever blows their way. And that is what, here tonight, we need to be: anchored in God!! That our depth of our minds: it’s “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” [Zechariah 4:6b] God wants to bring a power of HIS power back to [this City], to cause in this last days the later rain. I believe it! The Bible says, “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” [Isaiah 59:19] {Brother Freedom was so anointed that his voice had become raised in volume with the power of the message.}
I love you people! I’m not here to yell at you. But, I LOVE you!! And God loves you!
“…a standard against him,” what does that mean??
For “…we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL!” [2nd Corinthians 4:18] That means you don’t LOOK the way of the world!! You look the way of the world, you are going to see the world!
As Peter was walking upon that water, as he looked down he began to sink. It’s the same with us here today. It says, [in the Bible] “I will lift UP mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. HE will not suffer thy foot to be moved:…” [Psalm 121:1-3a] NOTHING can come your way unless God permits it. I BELIEVE that!
You are in good hands with God here tonight! God’s blessings are forevermore. HIS mercies endure for all generations. [Psalms 100:5 and Psalms 89:1] Glory be to God!
“The Lord is my SHEPHERD; I shall not want” [Psalm 23:1] What a beautiful passage. “HE leadeth me beside the the still waters.” [Psalms 23:2b] You think about “still waters.” That means it’s FLAT! Still waters is something. I leveled land down at C________. And, to get water that wouldn’t run you had to be level, totally level. Most land has “a fall,” they call it. That’s because, for run off. But still waters: God puts us on a flat surface. I believe this.
God is there. HE will never leave you. HIS eyes: For it says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” [2nd Chronicles 16:9a] You know, doesn’t that get you excited?!
“If my people…” This is where the catch is! “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK MY FACE, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” [2nd Chronicles 7:14] Glory be to God! Oh, hallelujah! Glory to God!
You know, we need sometimes to get off guard. We don’t know what is going to happen. I remember I was working on a final drive in a 46-A, down at [a certain city]. And I had been down South to a convention that the Lord God was just moving in a glorious way. And I had [gotten] all excited.
God’s presence is glorious [here tonight]! I don’t know how to describe it. You know what I’m talking about.
And, J_____, this young fellow he drains the oil on the starting engine of one of the older machines, drains it on the ground. He forgets to put any oil back in it. Like we are, sometimes. We let the Holy Spirit out of us. It [the Spirit] is God’s blessing. We don’t want to lose what God has given us. We want to make sure that we put back, more, new! We want God to bless us, touch us.
But anyway, J_____ came to me. And I was OFF GUARD, even after that blessing [at the convention]. He says, “Will you pray for this starting engine.” It was burnt up. It was ruined! I heard it. And I wouldn’t even pay any attention to him. I just said, “Well, it’s gone. So, I’ll have to tear it apart, and go through it.”
He said, “I’ll be in trouble, unless you pray to God.”
I said, “J_____, God is not duty bound to heal something like this!” I said, “You know, I can’t tell God that.”
He said, “Why NOT??!!”
And I said, “Because!” I said, “Well, I don’t know.”
He said, “I’m serious! You tell me how good God is. Let’s see how it is, then!”
And I said, “Well, that’s a little bit different.” So, I said, “Give me a few minutes to pray. Let me get my composure together.” Did you ever say “wait a little bit and see what’s going to happen?”
So I started praying. And God spoke to me. HE said, “If you can get rid of the unbelief I will heal it. But, if you see anybody come around here and say unbelief, you have got to get rid of them! And If you can get rid of them I’ll touch it!”
And I thought, “Well, that’s going to be pretty tough! Here I am representing P_________ Tractor Company. And I mean [they’re going to think] this guy has really flipped his [lid]. You know, I mean out here praying for equipment and all this stuff, when you are supposed to be working on it! You know, it’s sort of a peculiar [situation].”
But God [was there]. I learned I had to satisfy God! Whatever God says: THAT’s IT! Brother M________, that’s what we have [to do]. We can’t worry about what people think. But, God sometimes humbles us in these ways, too, I’m persuaded.
And these men, there was about three of them, came up to me and said, “What happened?”
I said, “Well, J_____ just started the starting engine up and [it’s] ruined, I guess.”
J________ says, “Yeah, he’s going to pray for it!”
I said, “If you guys don’t believe that God can heal this machine I want you to leave.” And God gave me the boldness. I said, “Just leave! And I AM going to pray for it!”
And I prayed for it. And that starting engine never did run right before. My son was an operator there for them and it always had a problem. It needed an overhaul is what it needed. I was prepared to do what I should do with their company, if they gave me the orders to do it. Anyway, I told J_____ put oil in it. I said, “God’s healed it!” Sure enough, I don’t know what God did. But, HE touched that Cat. And that starting engine run perfect after that! Until it went out in an auction it never was touched, only to put oil in it!
But, I BELIEVE in these kind of things! I believe in God’s signs and HIS wonders. I believe in HIS G L O R Y, HIS blessings forevermore!!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…” [Ephesians 1:3]
Some of these Scriptures: how I learned them is just by reading the Bible. I didn’t plan on it. And many of them I can’t find them. But it is just when God, at times, HE lays it on me and that is what comes out. I am, really a poor speaker. I AM a poor speaker! Brother C____ will tell you, I can’t even talk straight. BUT, when the Spirit of God comes upon me, I have to confess GOD makes me adequate for that moment! I’m sort of like Cinderella. When that hour comes and the presence of God, I must decrease. I’ve learned this.
When I leave a service like this I get off because I want to stay in God’s presence. I don’t want to get [away from HIM]. There is something about me: I want to be alone with GOD for awhile! I want for that “rub off” of God to bless me. I don’t want to lose it over some word someone [says]. I guess I cherish God’s blessings. HIS presence is so unique. It satisfies!! It is that longing: the GLORY OF GOD. And I believe that God wants to bless you dear people.
{Note: When church services conclude Brother Freedom almost always leaves quickly. When God has moved upon him he wants to take that anointing, that presence, that new touch, that work of righteousness from the Throne Room home with him. Most worshipers fellowship after a service and quickly forget the presence and the blessing and the insight and the revelation. They set it aside to go and move in the natural. And as a result they rob themselves of much. Those around Brother Freedom notice he is not to be found after services. He often just disappears.}
I LOVE you this night. And I pray for this simple, little [message]. I didn’t have anything thought up. But I pray,.. ooooooh, I feel the presence of God! HIS glory is here. You’ve got something wonderful! The G L O R Y is here! When the GLORY of God comes down, that’s all you need!
We are all brothers and sisters. Hallelujah! We are all EQUALS!! I believe that! HE sends one to sing. He sends [each] one [adding up to] all the works of God! Isn’t it wonderful, pastors, how God works?!
Oh, HIS love. You cannot reenact God’s love. Why do we love someone? It is not in our own self. We tend to be selfish. But God breaks that selfishness that we give. HE takes away that hate that we have and gives us love! HE takes that lustful eye and gives the opposite, that we want to lift up and encourage, All these things that are detriments to us, the bad spirits. God is here to BREAK them, to take them from us. And with that HE imparts HIS new blessings: the love, the joy, gentleness, meekness, temperance.
Temperance is one of the big things that I try to work with young men [on]. And I feel that this is something that this world really needs is temperance. It needs patience. And we need patience. All these things of God we need. They satisfy. And my time is up. But I want to say that I love you. I’ve seen God move in a wonderful way.
In closing, I found myself in Peoria, Illinois. And I went back to a Caterpillar School: Hydraulic Diagnostics Number Three, which is the top line in Caterpillar. Had all the big machines, 980s, 992s, motor graders, D10s and all, the hydraulic part is what it was.
And the first Monday morning we all [gathered in class], there’s a lot to it. But, I believe God has us to be a spokesman for HIM. And sometimes we can miss it, if we don’t stay where we should be with God. That’s the key, staying available with God. It’s like the fireman WITH OUT the truck, WITH OUT the hose [when you’re not staying available with God]. That’s where we find ourselves “WITH OUT,” because we are not really hooked-up with God. We have to pray and we have to pray through, because the need is there, but we are insufficient for the need that is before us! And we need to be ashamed of ourselves because I believe as God has spoken to me, “WE ARE THE MAN or the WOMAN at that time. Many times we are the ONLY answer for that one.
As this class started very wickedly: they had three or four men from Texas. And they spoke very wickedly these things. And God spoke to me by HIS Spirit and HE says, “My son, I want you to speak of ME this morning.”
And I said, “What shall I say?”
The Lord said, “You just open your mouth!”
[Each student was to say a few words of introduction, of getting to know each other.] So it come to me. And I never will forget it. The presence of God came upon me like I am here. And for a few moments I just said, quietly how good that God was. How that HE helped me to satisfy P__________ Tractor [Company back home] because of HIM. It wasn’t me. HE even helped me in my job! HE even helped me to know what was wrong. All the tribute went to God!
So anyway, the instructor’s face turned white. There’s a lot of little things that happened. But, the next morning I went to breakfast at the Peoria Hilton Hotel. And three men come up to me and said, “We’re back sliders. We want you to pray for us. We want for the power of God.” This one man said, “I’ve been AWAY from God! And this has been an ANSWER!”
It was only through three minutes of God.
And I’m not nothing! But I want you to know that God is EVERYTHING!!! I give God all the glory! But these three young men. They were younger than I was. And they received Jesus. And they received the power of forgiveness. They seen that strength, brother, that they needed!
And I just want to give this: I believe that we need to be at those places! We are the answer for that time. God bless you all.
