God is worthy of ALL praise, all glory. Isn’t it WONDERFUL what God can do? You know what? I am amazed seeing what God can do with a nobody that I have been. But I praise God that “…we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” [Romans 8:37] HE loves all of us!
Praise ye the Lord! You know many years back I was working right in this City here. I was REALLY having problems. Basically [these problems] were things that I had to face day by day. I started praying and seeking God, asking HIM WHY?? Why was I going through such heartaches? I don’t know why I am saying these things but I am.
But I found myself for quite a few years praying almost that same prayer, over and over and over. And finally one day God spoke to me. He said, “I have heard your cry. And I AM going to put a change in thy heart.”
And I really believe in having a real experience with God. I don’t believe in having a half experience. I believe that God wants us to go all the way. And “where HE leads me I will follow.” [Words from an old Hymn.]
But I believe that is the plan of God for each one of us here tonight, that God is very…I like to say “God” because it includes Jesus Christ. It includes the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost. But God is REAL! HE is forever faithful.
And the Bible says HE is good. “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” [Psalm 100:5] “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” [Proverbs 10:22] “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” [1 Peter 5:7] This is all the Word that is coming out. It is in the Word here (holding up the Bible for the congregation to see).
Father God we just pray for a mighty blessing tonight. We pray for your mighty touch from Heaven. We pray for the mighty shekinah glory to come down, to touch each heart tonight. In the Name of Jesus we pray for every individual. We pray that YOU will manifest YOURSELF in a special way, in a very wonderful way. Lord God I pray this night that if there is one right now that is hurting in body, Lord God that YOU will take that pain from them in a way right now. In the Name of Jesus, whatever the hardship is that each one here is facing, Lord God. We all have problems. And we come to YOU this night in the WONDERFUL Name of Jesus. And that power that we call upon, thy Name from the Heavens, that there is riches eternal through prayer. Lord God I pray for a supernatural touch. I pray that YOU will walk these isles by the Spirit of God. I pray that the angels will surround this building. Your Divine presence will be here in such a way that everyone in this room will feel the mighty touch from Heaven. Lord God I pray for the mighty moving from Heaven, Lord God. Bind us together, Lord, that the love of God shall be real, that we will love the brothers. That we will prefer brothers and sisters one to another, not putting ourselves above anybody. But we will prefer our brother above ourselves. And Father we count it such a privilege this night to be here in THY presence, Lord God. It is such an awesome feeling, Father God, to see THY presence, to feel THY anointing. And Father I pray that you will anoint this servant of YOURS here tonight by the precious gift of the power of the Holy Ghost. Father I pray for a mighty touch from the crown of my head to the very sole of my feet. I pray that it will be only YOU that will speak through me this night. That every word that comes forth will be directed from the Throne Room from Heaven. Father, we claim it, believe it, act upon it, and agree in the Name of JESUS, Lord God that it will take place. Father, we pray for miracles this day. We pray for the moving of THY mighty hand today. Lord we pray that YOUR eyes will run to and fro, this night to show YOURSELF strong in behalf of those whose hearts are made perfect this night. And Father for that one that does not know YOU, we pray that YOU would deal with that one tonight. For those that do know YOU, I pray that YOU will give them a desire for an even walk, a more BLESSED walk. And Father, YOU are our hope. YOU are our strength. YOU are our salvation, Lord God. And Father we pray for that child, that one, everyone here tonight from the biggest to the very smallest. We pray for each one, because we are all equal in THY eyes. There are no big I’s and no little you’s for YOU, LORD God, that you are the same yesterday, today and forever. And Father we praise YOU, that YOU are that same ONE, that YOU don’t have no “big shots.” You have all of us, Father God. And YOU care for ALL, the same, Father God. And Lord, what a privilege to be in THY presence here this night. Lord God, we ENJOY what we feel! We ENJOY thy presence tonight. And we thank YOU Lord. Bless these right here on this stage. I pray that YOU will bless them. We pray for everyone sitting in these chairs, that YOU will bless each one in a very special way. We pray for the little ones. We pray for ALL this day. We pray in the wonderful Name of Jesus. We pray, Lord God, that you will send angels all about this building, that no evil shall be able to come in. But YOUR presence will be here in a very special and a very wonderful way. And Father, we thank you that Jesus paid a price that we can have this day. We thank YOU in the wonderful name of Jesus. Amen and Amen. [The audience let out a robust “Amen!”]
The Bible said, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” [Romans 8:31b] I believe we are living in the most wonderful time that has ever been. I believe it is very close to the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ. The Bible says the disciples came to Jesus and they said, “How shall we know when that day comes?” He said, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” [Luke 21:28]
It says in the Bible that there shall be GREAT heartaches. There will be great deceptions. There will be problems. And surely we see them everywhere. We see money decline and all things. We see the problems that the World faces. But in it all the Bible says look up “…for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Brothers and Sisters, there was two men that didn’t face death. And one of them, his name was Enoch. He is in the Book of Genesis [Genesis 5:23-24]. And it talks about him that he walked with God. And in Amos we read, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” [Amos 3:3] And I would like for us to think about that.
There was another man who didn’t face death. Elijah went up in a chariot [of fire], how he never faced death.
But it is predicted for all of us to die. The Bible says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” [Hebrews 9:27] And God is in control.
But you know I believe we are at that time we might not have to physically see death, if we are where we should be, because it wouldn’t surprise me that God… I thought HE would be here before the year 2,000. I really did. And it is 2003. But it doesn’t make any difference. HE is coming!
HE is coming for those that have made themselves right with the blood of Jesus Christ, who have purified their lives and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. And you know we don’t do this within ourselves. There is no good thing within me.
The Bible says we must lay aside these [wrong] things. And God has given us time. And here tonight I want to believe that God is able to help us, to endeavor unto the Lord.
Walking with God, you might say, is sort of SCARY! It is sort of scary walking with ONE who knows so much about you in all the things. HE knows all that you do. It is really scary. But, you know, it’s NOT! The Bible says, “…greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] The Bible says in John 10:10 the enemy, that’s the enemy of God, “…cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” [John 10:10]
I was reading some of the Bible tonight before we came, and how that the enemy came to God and told God, “You know YOU got a man named Job.” And God says, “Have you considered Job? He’s a perfect man.”
This is the kind of guy that Satan [the enemy] is. Satan says, “YOU go and YOU let something happen to Job and he will curse YOU.” And God says, “No he won’t.”
And so God allowed Satan to have the power, but NOT to remove his life. And through that, if you read the Book of Job, Job came out victorious. Never one time did he ever accuse God!
And that is what God is looking for, someone who will go through this life, for a period of time. We are all here for a certain amount of time. In that time, HOPEFULLY, that we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour. At that time, HOPEFULLY, lining up to the Word of God [the Bible]. And we have to be as a weight lifter. We have to work out. And that is the way with our lives. We grow in the Lord.
We must be determined to seek God. We grow into God! We don’t do it overnight. The Bible says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” [Galations 6:9] The Bible says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” [1 Peter 5:7] WHAT A GOD!! Casting all of our cares upon HIM, for HE cares for us! “Be sober,…” That is what HE is telling US to do! “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” [1 Peter 5:8-9]
What that means is: ALL PEOPLE HAVE PROBLEMS! You might say, “Well I’ve got the biggest problem, because I have a certain problem.” But there is other people! Here tonight, if we are to tell the truth, we have all been acquainted with problems. We are acquainted with failures. We are acquainted to mishaps, and all these things that come our way.
But beyond that there is a Day, in the Book of Revelation where it says, there shall be no more sorrow. There will be no more heartaches. There will be no more problems. And God will rejoice, and we will rejoice in HIM. The joy of the LORD IS our strength! In Nehemiah the eighth chapter and the tenth verse it says, “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” [Nehemiah 8:10b]
For we walk with God. I read that as one of the rewards, that God starts off when we first start with HIM. We receive a JOY, a PEACE, a contentment that we did not know until we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour. It became that guarantee that God laid upon us, as the believers. God says, “As they grow in ME I AM going to apply with them and give them JOY, give them PEACE!”
You know we can’t find IT in this World today. You can live and I have lived, and there is harsh hardships that people go through. There is heartaches. We have police departments that stay busy because of problems. We have fire departments that can’t put out the fires. We have all sorts of problems. But God is the answer for all these things that we see! God is the answer over every individual. We can insert HIS Name. God is “the reason for the season!” God will help us! God, one of these days, is coming back. The Bible says, “…lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” [Luke 21:28] “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” [2 Corinthians 4:18] The things that we see NOW are going to fade away! They are NOT going to last! But the things that you don’t see, which are the things of God, WILL someday be REAL!! And that is why we need to put in our best and call upon God, who says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” [Jeremiah 33:3]
Am I getting over anybody’s head here tonight??? I don’t want to frighten you. I don’t want to scare you, but GOD IS REAL! And God wants us to get the message!!! God wants us to get the plan! Hallelujah, that we might no longer be walking in hardships, but we would be walking in VICTORY, walking in the atonement, God’s seal and HIS approval on our life! “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” [Proverbs 10:22] “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” [1 Peter 5:7] You here tonight “…the joy of the LORD is your strength.” [Nehemiah 8:10b] Do you have joy, the peace?? Hallelujah! [The audience enters into praises and applause.] If God be for you, who can be against you? [See Romans 8:31b]
We need to stand upon HIS Word! It says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” [Ephesians 3:20] There is a power that God gave within you, a power cell that God gave you, a voice that you can call back to HIM. And if you can’t even speak HE hears your thoughts!! This is what God is!
You know I am not afraid of the enemy because he is just like we are! He is NOT omnipotent [all powerful]. HE can only be at one place at a time. He has imps that go a lot of places. But God has angels, even twice as many as the enemy has imps! Plus God is omnipresent [at all places at all times]. We don’t understand it but God is everywhere present, knows all things at all times. HE knows you when you cry. HE knows you when you are sad. HE knows you when you are happy. “…happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.” [Psalm 144:15b] God sees that, when you are happy. And HE blesses those ones in that way that they will call upon HIM and HE will answer them. HE knows all, and is all, and was all, and shall be all. HE is forever true, and ever faithful. HE is just! HE is all these things that we want to strive into. That is what God represents!
And we can’t get it any other way, but coming to HIM. HE favors us when we come to HIM! And then HE invites us into the banqueting table and pours upon us the blessings of love, peace, joy, goodness, meekness, temperance, and things that bring forth a wholesome life. And HE brings correction when we are down and out. When there is pain HE heals us, gives us JOY, PEACE, HEALS US.
WE SURVIVE IN THE LORD!!! HALLELUJAH! There is the Bible. There is a blessing of God [the audience goes wild!] There is a deliverance of God. God wants to touch, deliver, touch us in a mighty fashion, bring us forth as mighty blessings from God!
God wants to speak to our hearts. It is “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” [Zechariah 4:6b] God wants to move in these last days in a MIGHTY way, in a powerful way. I’m here to voice from HEAVEN. It is where you are, here within hearing: God wants to BLESS you from the very crown of your head to the very sole of your feet. It is not a halfway walk with God. It is an ALL-THE-WAY walk! God wants to deliver us, make us perfect before HIM, that we might walk in VICTORY. That we might lay aside all the weights. And we don’t even have to worry about them. We want to lay them aside, because when you love someone you want to PLEASE them.
The Bible says in Colossians “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work,…” [Colossians 1:10] We can’t do that within ourselves! We do it AS we take on God [“take on” meaning like a ship takes on fuel]. We take on HIM, and HE allows us to have the joy of God. And when that peace of God, the presence of God, that we no longer want to swear.
The Bible says, “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with PATIENCE…” [Hebrews 12:1] Hallelujah!! “If God be for us, who can be against us?” [Romans 8:31b] The Bible says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” [Romans 8:37] YEA IN ALL THESE THINGS! IN ALL OF THESE THINGS God wants us to be yielded to HIM. And that is all we have to do is yield ourselves. But in all the OTHER things God puts in [fills in] all the blanks. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” [Philippians 4:13] “…greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] That’s God that does ALL those things!
HE wants us to be at that place of yielding ourselves to God. If we seek HIM the Bible says, we will surely find HIM. [Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 32:6, Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:9, Acts 17:27] “Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.” [1 Peter 5:7] …for US! “The Lord is not slack concerning HIS promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” [2 Peter 3:9] GOD LOVES US, in a mighty way, in a POWERFUL way. And I believe that you don’t have to have a dead, dreary experience with God! God wants to give you the REVERSE: a WONDERFUL experience, that you KNOW HE is on your side, that HE is BY your side. And HE meets the decisions that you need to meet.
Here about three weeks ago I finished up. I was working down in _______ville. I was running a Cat [caterpillar bull dozer] down there. And the job that I was on finished up. So I was needing a job. At my age I am still working. And it was on a Monday morning. You know the Spirit of God said, “Go down to Electric Avenue.” This is no kidding, so help me before God! That is exactly what happened. And I was on my way to take my wife to the doctor. And I said, “[to my wife] I need to go check on a job.” She said, “Okay.”
The Spirit of God said, “Go down to Electric Avenue. Drive down to the first stop sign. Make a left and go down just a short ways and there will be a shop there. And a man that you used to know five years ago will be there. And he needs a mechanic.” [Note: Brother Freedom is extremely familiar with all the heavy equipment shops throughout his local area. He was born in this locale and thought he knew where every shop was. But this shop was a new one to him.]
I drove down there. I look in front of the shop. You know when we go with the Lord there is always opposition at first. And I seen these fellows in front and there was these machines. They weren’t Caterpillars! They were tree machines, harvesters [for shaking walnuts out of trees], all those things I don’t know anything about. But they was all in front and they had some men out there. I got out [of my car] anyway, because God told me to get out. So I went in there and I said, “Is Ron here?” “Oh,” they said, “He’s in back. He’s down there.” God knew that he was going to be there that special hour. [Turned out later that the owner was in and out a lot and not always easy to track down.]
I said, “Ron, I would like to go to work.” He said, “You’ve got a job right now!”
But that IS God! I believe this! “…greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] “…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14:27b]
God wants to give us VICTORY! God wants to challenge us that HE is GREATER than what we face. HE is beyond! I have a little deal with the IRS. It is nothing that I did. The employer that I worked for sent in an extra 1099 than I even had. And it must be all fraudulent. But anyway it is $4,000 [in extra taxes that they say I owe]. But praise God! I don’t have to worry. God is going to take care of it! If I have to pay it, I have to pay it. But I don’t worry about it! God is REAL!! God is coming back through the clouds of Glory! And nothing can move me.
The Bible says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” [Romans 8:38-39]
Nothing shall be able to move us! And God wants that style of people to come to HIM. And God will BLESS you a blessing as it was in the days of the Lord. The Bible says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” [2 Chronicles 16:9a] “If MY people, which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14] “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them ALL.” [Psalm 34:19] Hallelujah! “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” [Psalms 119:165] “If ye abide in ME, and MY words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” [John 15:7] “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” [Jeremiah 33:3]
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Thank you Father! “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall PROSPER.” “Whatsoever he doeth,” that is you or me “shall PROSPER.” “The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” [Psalms 1:1-6]
To me that sounds like a GREAT deal! And for all of you here tonight I can absolutely say “IT WORKS!” It WILL work! It WILL WORK! Seek God with all thy heart and HE will bless you abundantly.
I was having a lot of problems as a mechanic. When I gave my heart to the Lord I REALLY prayed and sought God. It got to where it was so easy that I would go out and I would KNOW basically what was wrong before I ever got there!! God is in the HELPING business! God has got the most helping hand of ANYBODY. Talk about “helping hand,” there’s helping hands that go up. But God has got the greatest hand of ALL hands! HE is greater than any problem you can think of. HE is MIGHTIER than anything you face. HE is the absolute JUST. HE is the absolute PERFECT. HE is the absolute WONDERFUL! HE is GREATER than what you face.
If I don’t see you before that time, between now and Heaven, be determined tonight that you are going to live for God, that you are going to serve HIM with ALL your heart. Because one of these days you are going stand before HIM. I am going to stand before HIM. HE is going to say, “Well done faithful servant!” OR, HE’s going to say, “I NEVER KNEW YOU! DEPART FROM ME YE WORKERS OF INIQUITY. I KNOW YE NOT! I CAST YOU OUT TO OUTER DARKNESS.”
And that is a SAD thing, that some will be missed that Day. That breaks my heart! It breaks my heart to realize that there is going to be some that have been faithful. They went to church! They’ve been seeking God and Hallelujah. But they lost out that time. God wants us to be attentive to HIM! “My sheep know MY voice” [See John 10:4,27]
There’s people. I have seekers for God. It hasn’t been dull! But I know there is preachers, pastors who don’t have what I have! And I’m not saying anything wrong with what they have. But I know I got what I want! I want to know God! And I know God! I know how he works! And I know how HE thinks! And I am NOT saying it boastfully! God gave me that CONFIDENCE. OH, Hallelujah, that confidence that HE is my Saviour. HE is my waymaker. HE is my peace! HE is the absolute WONDERFUL!! HE does everything PERFECT!! And all I need to do is call upon HIM.
You know, brothers and sisters, I’m 71 years old. Still living. But the joy of the Lord IS my strength! The joy of the Lord is my PEACE! Hallelujah!
You know you can live for God and your blood pressure is going to go down, if you don’t get angry. You know, see, the joy of the Lord is your strength!
I’m going to give you a little teaching right now. So, when you do anything against God then you lose your strength. You are tired! So hatred, malice, envy, all those things causes this body, it is proven, to get fatigued. It gets to where the body can’t function. The Bible says, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them,…” Oh don’t you feel God here tonight!? “I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them,…” [2 Corinthians 6:16-ff]
I am here tonight to ask you. You don’t do it to me, but come out and make a declaration to God. You have to do it. If you are ashamed to come up, at least seek God and say, “I want to HAVE IT!” God gave me a desire to want more!
The Bible says, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you,…” That is really something! “…and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” [2 Corinthians 6:16-18]
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let US cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” [2 Corinthians 7:1] “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and INCREASING in the knowledge of God;…” [Colossians 1:10-ff] How do we increase?? We “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” [2nd Timothy 2:15] WE SHOULD DEVELOP OURSELVES IN GOD!!
God showed me that there is many, many, many…just yesterday HE was telling me this. There is many, many, many that haven’t developed, as a Christian. You know, you mothers, you fathers, I have had a daughter and a son. What if they had NEVER developed?? Oh my goodness! What if there was something wrong? But we do God the same way! Because of us not doing nothing. And I am here tonight to share with you: if you do nothing, SATAN is going to take care of you. You’ve got to SEEK God! That is one thing you have got to keep ON! You have got to keep on saying, “Lord, I want YOU! I LOVE YOU!” Because God will not force you to serve HIM!
God will say, “Okay, I’m here. I AM here, but I want you to….” That becomes my relationship, my obligation, day by day that I have to seek God. I have to call upon HIM. Then I have to be very rigid, very bold in doing that. I have to call upon God and believing! IT DETERMINES MY DESTINY WITH GOD!!! And I cannot allow that not to happen! I cannot!
The enemy comes to kill, destroy and steal, but God has come to give us life, and give us more abundant life. [See John 10:10] God is here tonight to give you a NEW LIFE, a NEW HOPE, a NEW DIRECTION, a NEW BLESSING FROM HEAVEN that you will have a HOPE!
HE says he will give you a new name [See Revelation 2:17] written in the Lambs Book of Life. [See Revelation 3:5] No one knows that name but God! If God be for you who can be against you? [See Romans 8:31b] Hallelujah!
The Bible says, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy…” [Jude 1:24] What a package!! “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER that worketh in US,…” [Ephesians 3:20] There is a power that God has given US, that we can call upon HIM. And God draws nigh. HE is NIGH to our cry! HE is NIGH in the call of those that love HIM, to those that will seek HIS face! God is there showing favor for us, sending a blessing! HE wants to BLESS us! HE wants to touch us! HE wants to move upon us, that our days might be good!
The Bible says in the Ninety-First Psalm in the last verse. “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” [Psalm 91:16] With long life! God wants to satisfy us!! You read the Word of God. The Bible says, “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” [Exodus 20:12] There are some things that constitute God to bless you. But God is REAL!
What God has for you is workable! That means IT WILL WORK! Whatever God has told you in this Word (holding up the Bible) is true. It says, “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” [Isaiah 59:19] In this hour that we live in, truly the enemy is coming in like a flood. But God, through the miraculous power, the anointing of the Spirit of God, is ABLE, GREATER. HE is the standard that comes against what comes against us!
God gives you a little edge, all the time. But you have to seek God! Saying, “Lord, I can’t do this by myself!” HE, says, “I know you can’t. But if I’m with you, you are more than a conqueror!”
“I can’t do this!” “No, I know you can’t. But if you will seek ME, and call upon ME, I WILL BE THERE TO BLESS YOU.”
God is greater than whatever you face! And whatever you face, there is hardships. There is problems. I sympathize with all of you out there! If you knew my life you would believe that, because I have gone through one problem right after another problem, after another problem. I have faced problems that was beyond measure. A couple of them were through death, almost.
God is REAL! God will never leave you! HE will never forsake you! His eyes “…run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” [2 Chronicles 16:9a] God has a dwelling place for those that love HIM, for those that will put their eyes upon the Lord. “HE shall cover thee with HIS feathers.” [Psalm 91:4a]
I like to read this because sometimes I miss. “He shall cover thee with HIS feathers, and under HIS wings shalt thou trust: HIS truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;…” [Psalm 91:4-5] It says we should “not be” what??? “AFRAID!”
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a SOUND MIND.” [2nd Timothy 1:7] “…greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] God has NOT given you the spirit of FEAR, but of POWER, LOVE and a sound mind! “GREATER IS HE!” HE loves you!
I feel such a love for you people here tonight. The time is up. But I hope and pray that you will grasp a little bit of what I’ve shared. But God has a plan for each one of you here tonight. And there are so many people that are so dried up in their experience. God can’t even use them! They once knew God and they once walked with God and now they have back slidden. And they have forgotten God. They go on what they once had. THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH WITH GOD!
God wants you, here tonight, to have an up-to-date EXPERIENCE! God wants you RIGHT NOW to keep that up-to-date all the time!! OH that you will rely on HIM! That you will talk to HIM, because HE cares for you. PRAISE YE THE LORD! Glory to God! Glory to God!
The Bible says, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters. HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; THY rod and THY staff they comfort me. THOU preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” [Psalm 23:1-6]
I’m happy! I’m happy! God is good, hallelujah! [applause from the audience]. Remember this: God is good, God is real, God is faithful!
