Brother Freedom Preaches at the Rescue Mission

This message was delivered at a Rescue Mission to about 80 folks from off the streets. The message poured like a river. There were no notes, no page turning from one passage of Scripture to another. Brother Freedom long ago ate the Word of God and now the Holy Spirit comes upon him and the Spirit of God brings forth the message. After the message concluded Brother Freedom could only remember bits and pieces. This is a message from Heaven!! The Spirit of God uses the speech forms of the one HE anoints. But the message itself comes from above.

[The Bible says,]“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” [Proverbs 10:22] [It] says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” [1st Peter 5:7] Did you realize, today, that each one of us, probably, in this room [has a need]? God has spoken to my heart how His love is here. I believe He is here to touch each and every one of you in a very special way.
You know, life is very short. We don’t know, not any of us, how long it is going to be. The Bible says, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” [John 14:1-3] Jesus is speaking that! Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us, that where He is we shall be there with Him also.
I’m going to pray right now, for each one of us has a need. I have a need. I’ve had shingles for the last six weeks. And they’ve been tough! But God is greater! God is greater than any problem. And He is with us in a special way here tonight to strengthen us.
We don’t always go by what we feel. We go by who we are in the Lord Jesus. And the Bible says, “…greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1st John 4:4b] The Bible says, “Casting all your care upon him…” [1st Peter 5:7a] So THAT is our responsibility. We can let it slide by and say, “I don’t need the Lord.” [Or, we can seek the Lord.]
In the Bible that little man, Zacchaeus, [story found in Luke 19:2 and following] wanted to get to the Lord. He was of small stature. And, many times we feel in our lives we are not big enough to reach the Lord. But I’m here tonight telling you that God wants you to climb up to wherever it needs to be and say, “I NEED You, Lord!”
Zacchaeus got into that sycamore tree and Jesus looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, today I will come to your house.” Jesus went and ministered to Zacchaeus. And Zacchaeus received that touch from Jesus!
Father, this night, in the Name of Jesus we pray: that there is a need here tonight, that every heart, every soul; each one of us needs you in a very special way. And we pray now by the power of the Holy Ghost from Heaven, in the Name of Jesus, we pray that you will touch every life. Father, we pray that you will fulfill each heart: the desire that they need this night. And Father, if there is any here this night that do not know you as Lord and Saviour, we pray for the power of God by the POWER of the Spirit of God from on high to touch, strengthen, to deliver, to set free. That each one that is here this night receive a new walk, a new talk, a new hope, a new desire, a new blessing, a new way, a new …on to HEAVEN!
Father, God, we CLAIM it, in the wonderful Name of Jesus. We pray that you will BLESS your people this night. And we pray that there will be NOT ONE, in the sound of my voice, that will not know JESUS this night. We pray that they will KNOW the Son of God; that they will accept Him into their heart in a very special way. And we declare as TRUTH from Heaven this day! And, Father, I pray that you would seal this place with your angels. I CLAIM the guard of the Heavenly guard of angels. The Bible says in Hebrews the first chapter, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister…” for the saints. [Hebrews 1:14] And, Father, we know that Your Word declares “…if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” [Matthew 18:19]
And we, up in this platform, agree now that You will send forth an ARMY of your Spirit, of the angels, to guard around. And nothing unclean shall be able to minister. And YOU will bring forth TRUTH to your people, that You will touch Your people, bring healing to Your people, in the Name of JESUS, Amen.
[The people were so moved upon by the prayer that they began to applaud. When the applause began Brother Freedom said:]
You know, God is good. Let’s give God a clap offering. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Oh, the Bible says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” [2nd Corinthians 3:17]
Do you know what that means? Liberty is freedom. That is a way that God can come to reach each one of us in a very special way. And I believe here tonight there is needs, there is wants, each one of us needs a special touch this night by the power of God. I know I do! I need a touch in my throat, my life. And each one of us need that special touch that only God can give us.
But, you know, this life we are in, if we accept Jesus Christ, …and I’m here tonight to guarantee that if you call upon God: the Bible says that if we will call upon Him, He will answer us and “…show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” [Jeremiah 33:3] You think about that. If we will call…but, God desires us to do the calling.
You know, communication is very important in the day that we live in. Did you ever try to get something from a person you were talking to who couldn’t understand you? It would be very difficult, wouldn’t it? So, communication is how we get to God.
The Bible says that we must press THROUGH to God. And here tonight we can see the need. The need is that WE NEED GOD. How do we get it? We do it by asking! We do it by believing. We believe on the Son of God, God’s special gift.
The Bible says that He “…gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [John 3:16]
You know, I feel tonight that I am going to have a battle myself, talking. [Brother Freedom was experiencing an annoying cough that was making it difficult for him to speak.] But I know that God really wants to do something GREAT for you people tonight. He wants to touch you in a very special way.
The Bible says that we must be determined, “…we are more than conquerors.” In Romans the Eighth Chapter it says that “…we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” [Romans 8:37] “We are MORE THAN CONQUERORS!” And that means that we are able by God’s help to press through, to ask. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” [Hebrews 11:6]
The Bible says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto…” us. [Matthew 6:33] We must seek God. There is a place that the world can not go. The Bible says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” [Mark 8:36]
Think here tonight, each one of us, if we could own the whole World and hold this whole vastness in our heart and not have God. The Bible says we would be as all men “most miserable.” [1st Corinthians 15:19b] “Miserable:” I don’t believe that would be the half of what we would be, after knowing God. It would be TERRIBLE!!
There is nothing here tonight that compares with the love of God! There is nothing that feels like that presence of God, the power of the Spirit of God, that is able to strengthen us! We need that special touch.
You know Moses, as God spoke to Moses in the bush, [Exodus Chapter 3] and Moses answered God, God told him to go into Egypt. And how God brought him out of Egypt, and sent him to the Promised Land. And the Promised Land is like us, many times. We go and we accept God; we are on our way: our heavenly journey is toward the Promised Land. And we don’t know where we are headed, many times. There may be crooks. There may be sickness involved in it. There may be times of failure involved in it. There may be things that don’t look good sometimes. But I’ll tell you “…If God be for us, who can be against us?” [Romans 8:31b]
There may be a time when you feel there is nobody on your side, but you know that “if God be for you who can be against you?” You can KNOW, with assurance in your heart that He is GREATER. He will deliver.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” It says, “I will say of the Lord He is my refuge.” We have to say that! I’m more assured than anything that we must say [it] in our heart, “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers and under His wings shalt thou trust. His TRUTH shall be thy shield and buckler.” It says, “Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day.” [from Psalm 91]
It says, none of these things shall be able to come our way if we put our trust in the living God!
It says, “a thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” “He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. And they shall bear thee up…lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” [more of Psalm 91]
THAT is how much God loves you!! See, we only see this side.
The Bible says, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” [2nd Corinthians 4:18] That is sort of a tongue twister. It says, “…look not at the things that are seen…”
What do we see?? We see a problem World! We have seen since September Eleven [2001] things that are on shaky ground all over the World. But, the Bible predicts that too! It says, “ye shall see these things come to pass,” [Mark 13:29] and the Lord “…coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” [Mark 13:26]
We are going to see things that are going to trouble us! There is going to be heart aches and there is going to be desperate times. We’ve heard prophecies and things that I believe in. There will be a time that money [will fail]. The Bible speaks about when we will have pockets, sacks with holes in the sacks. [Haggai 1:6] That means that money will be depleted.
We cannot put our trust in what we see! We cannot put our trust in what we know! We cannot put our trust in what I am. But, there is one true thing that you can…it is not a thing it is GOD! You can put your trust in the living God. And you know that if God be for you who can be against you. [See Romans 8:31b] And whatever comes your way, that if something shall happen, great devastation, or whatever takes place, that you know that you are on your way to Heaven! And you know that there will be a better day. For the Bible says, “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” [1st Corinthians 2:9]
God is bringing a breakthrough right now!!! In the Name of Jesus HE wants to touch us! HE wants to bring real LIVING to your life, here tonight! [From this point on Brother Freedom’s troubling cough TOTALLY disappeared!]
We live in a spot sometimes, we feel…I’ve been there, where no one cares for me. And sometimes we let it get on to us. We let it bother us. And we say, “Well, that’s the way it is. I’m just going to give up.” But that is the cry for the Enemy!
God has an antidote for everything that comes our way. I believe that! It’s through the power of God! The Bible says, “Pray without ceasing! In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” [1st Thessalonians 5:17-18]
There is a profitable [activity]. As we pray it becomes profitable TIME! “Call unto ME,” that’s God speaking! “Call unto ME and I will answer thee!” Can you hear me tonight?? “CALL UNTO ME!” GOD IS SPEAKING! “Call unto ME and I will answer you. And I will show you great and mighty things that you know not.” [Jeremiah 33:3]
How much plainer can that be? To me that is REAL! That is important. When you come to the last way, of our way: God says “I will be with you through the crossing.”
“…though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” [Psalm 23:4 following]
Hallelujah! What a blessing of blessings!

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,” WE ASK or THINK, “according to the power that worketh in US.” [Ephesians 3:20]
It is YOUR power. YOU have to call upon God. You have to be desirous. You have to want to [seek] God. God NEVER forces Himself [on you]. God loves us.
James the Fifth Chapter says, HE longs for the time when the children are coming home. [James 5:7-8] Here is God preparing us a heaven. This has been going on from the very foundations of this World, that when the last trumpet sounds that God is going to have a people, a remnant that is going to come and live with HIM forever. That is what it is all about! That is what all the bad, the existing [things], everything that is going on, your life style; it’s for that ONE reason, not for anything else!
The Bible says, in the Thirty-fourth Psalm, “I will bless the Lord at ALL times…” Hallelujah!! When I’m sick, when I’m afflicted, “…I will bless the Lord at ALL times! His praises shall continually be in my mouth.” That is what I’m supposed to do, it is my mouth! “My soul shall make her boast in the Lord! The humble shall hear thereof and be glad. Oh magnify the Lord with me. I sought the Lord and HE heard me and HE delivered me from all of my fears!” [Psalm 34:1-4] What a GREAT Father!!
The Bible says that we have a Father that is beyond our understanding. In Peter it says we take the Father’s nature. [2nd Peter 1:4] Now what is the Father’s nature? It is GOODNESS! It is JOY, PEACE, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS… all the things that YOU like, it’s the FATHER! That’s Father God! And HE gave HIS only Son, Jesus, that we would believe and believe on that Son, the One.
The Bible says, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” [John 3:36] That’s a sobering thought! And the wrath of God shall be upon him.
So, if we deny Jesus Christ we deny GOD! And God brings wrath on those that do not accept Jesus.
If you have been playing with God, here tonight, don’t play no longer! God is real! And HE is beckoning you! HE is calling here tonight. God spoke to my heart in a very special way here tonight. He loves you, each one of you. There is a special calling here tonight. There is a special yearning here tonight! God wants to touch you tonight! And God wants to seal in your heart, that you will be READY.
I believe we are ripe for the coming of the Lord! I believe the signs of the times are everywhere. The Bible says in the Thirteenth Chapter of Romans, “…knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” [Romans 13:11]
That is a sobering thought! “And knowing the time, now it is HIGH time to awake out of sleep: for now IS OUR SALVATION NEARER THAN WHEN WE BELIEVED.” [Romans 13:11] “The night is far spent the day is at hand.” [Romans 13:12a] Brother C___ the Day is at hand! “Be ye sober!” [1st Peter 4:7]
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” [1st Peter 5:8-9] This is GOSPEL I am speaking!!! That’s in the Word!
“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness…” [Colossians 1:10-11]
The Bible says, “…for the joy of the Lord IS your strength.” [Nehemiah 8:10b] You know, if you want peace, there is no peace like God’s peace! There is no blessings like God’s blessings!
You know, I’ve never been intoxicated. But if I went out here and I was [intoxicated], I could imagine, it would be for just a short term, and then I would have a headache the next day. And I would be so disoriented, I would say, “What in the world is happening to me?”
But I can have the Spirit of God. The last Saturday night when I came down here, the presence of God stayed upon me for HOURS!! The glory of God is REAL! It’s wonderful here tonight! And I’m here tonight to tell you that God is your answer! God is the WAY-MAKER! Glory to God! Glory! I’m holding it back! GLORY!!!
Can you say Glory?? [The audience shouted “Glory!”] Do you love Jesus? [The audience answered in the affirmative.]. Do you want Jesus in your heart? [Many in the crowd answered in the affirmative again.] Do you believe HE can touch you? [They answer “Yes!”] Hey, we are going to believe some great things tonight!
I want you, those who will believe in Jesus, I’ll say it with you, “I want Jesus!!!” [The crowd loudly repeated that they wanted Jesus.] I want more of God! [Crowd repeats it] I want to be in God’s will! [They repeat enthusiastically] I want to be in a place that when I pray God will answer me. [crowd repeats it all] That I am HIS child, and HE says, if I’m His child, He will take care of me. [they repeat each phrase]
What HE has done for one…HE will do for another. For HE is not a respecter…of persons. And greater is HE…oh hallelujah…greater is HE that is in you…than he that is in the world. [The crowd repeated each phrase as Brother Freedom led them]
The Bible says, “What agreement hath the temple of God with idols.” [2nd Corinthians 6:16] Say this with me! [The crowd begins to repeat out loud with Brother Freedom again as he leads them in speaking with their mouths the truth of the Lord God. Below is what he and they said.]
“For ye are the temple…of the living God. As God has said…’I will dwell with them. I will walk with them. I will be their God. And they shall be My people.’ Therefore…come out from among them…and be ye separate…saith the Lord. And touch not the unclean thing…and I will receive you. And I will be a Father…unto you. And ye shall be MY sons…and daughters…saith the Lord.” [2nd Corinthians 6:16-18]
“Having therefore these promises…dearly beloved…let us cleanse ourselves…of all filthiness of the flesh…perfecting holiness…in the fear of God.” [2nd Corinthians 7:1] And also “…seek ye the Lord while HE may be found.” [Isaiah 55:6a] [The crowd faithfully repeated each phrase of this paragraph.]
God is here tonight to strengthen you tonight. In a minute I am going to have you say some more. Doesn’t that feel good? The Bible says that we confess, ourselves, out of our mouth. The Bible says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so IS HE!” [Proverbs 23:7a] As we think, the trouble many times, the Enemy comes to come against us [through wrong thinking].
The Bible says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” [2nd Corinthians 10:3-5]
What does that say? The Enemy comes our way!
The Bible says, “Be ye strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might. Put ye on the whole armor of God.”
Say that with me! “Be ye strong in the Lord, and the power of HIS might. Put you on, the whole armor of God, that ye might be able, to withstand, the wiles, of the Devil.” [Ephesians 6:10-11] “Greater is He, that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [The crowd repeated this.] [1st John 4:4b]
You know, Jesus is doing something wonderful for you hearts here tonight! Some of you are not here. But some of you are really receiving! God has a special blessing. God has a task force in the Spirit! We don’t understand the things [of the Spirit].
Elisha, a prophet of old, he goes and tells his servant, “Go out and tell me what is going on! [The servant returns and says, ] “I don’t see nothing.” So then Elisha [prays for the servant that God will] open his eyes. He [the servant] then sees these angels, literally in there [all about]. And they [the angels] were taking vengeance. They were doing the will of God! [2nd Kings 6:13 and following]
And God has sent HIS ministering spirits, angels to bless HIS people. I really believe that we are living in the most wonderful day that has ever been! The Bible tells me, this is another scripture, “When the enemy comes in like a flood…” Say that with me. [the crowd repeats] “Yeah, I the Lord thy God, will raise up a standard, against him.” [Isaiah 59:19]
What does that mean?? If you are on God’s side, “If God be for you who can be against you!” [Romans 8:31b] It will mean that if you call upon the Name of the Lord when ever he [the devil] comes: REFUGE!!! I believe the Bible says, “a thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand, it shall not come nigh thee.” [Psalm 91] “Greater is HE that is within you than he that is in the world.” [1st John 4:4b]
I believe that there is STRENGTH through God above! There is HELP through God above. There is PEACE…. oh, what the world needs is peace, here tonight! Peace, peace, peace, there is blessings! The Bible says, “The blessings of the Lord maketh rich…” [Proverbs 10:22a] The Bible says, “My God shall supply all of your needs according to HIS riches that are in glory.” [Philippians 4:19]
God shall supply all of your needs here tonight. I believe that: …that God can come against circumstances, problems, HE can come against sicknesses, these things that we come through many times. And sometimes God wants to see what we are made of. He has to see if there is anything in our backbone, besides jelly. He wants to see if we can STAND and believe on God.
The Bible says, oh hallelujah, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide UNDER the shadow of the Almighty.” [Psalm 91:1] And here tonight, there is strength through the almightiness of God.
The Bible says that we must confess HIM with our hearts, and we must confess HIM as our Lord and Saviour. And here tonight if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour there is HOPE! There is STRENGTH, there is POWER! There is BLESSINGS! There is FORGIVENESS! There is faithfulness! God is faithful! He is a faithful God! Hallelujah!!! Glory to God! Hallelujah! He is there to strengthen us!
You probably don’t know me, but when I came up tonight I was sick! I am not sick now! God is glorious!! I’m here to testify. And I could tell you, Brother C___, here has been with me in church services where I have been so tired. And I said, “Brother C___, I don’t think I’m going to have nothing happen!” And pretty soon the Spirit of God comes upon me. And the Spirit of God: it’s LIFE! BLESSING….it’s GLORY….IT’S GLORY!!!! Hallelujah!
What God can do for one HE can do for another! God does not love me beyond anything….HE loves you as much. He is no respecter of persons. Hallelujah! I love you guys out there…and you women out there! God LOVES you! God BLESS you! God wants to strengthen you this night, HELP you!
God is all the answers that we need! And I believe HE has just about finished HIS mansions. Brother C____, and all you here tonight, you faithful ones: God is saying, “My children, very shortly you are coming home!”
And the Bible says, “Hast though not known, hast though not heard, the ever lasting God, the creator of the earth fainteth not, neither does HE grow weary. There is no searching of HIS understanding. He giveth power to the faint. The youth shall faint and be weary, the young man shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall RENEW their strength! They shall mount up on wings of eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall run and not faint!” [Isaiah 40:28-31]
That is what GOD has promised to the BELIEVERS! “Casting all your cares upon HIM.” [1st Peter 5:7] The Bible says, “Be ye clothed with humility.” [1st Peter 5:5]
Do you know what humility is?? This is something that the world doesn’t know anything about. But IT gets to God! If you want to get INTO God, start walking before God with a little bit of humility! The Bible says, “Humble yourself, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that HE might exalt you….that HE might exalt you in due time.” [1st Peter 5:6] God wants to exalt us in due time.
“Casting all of your cares upon HIM for HE careth for you!” [1st Peter 5:7] “Be sober” that’s what we are doing…“Be vigilant” watchful…“Because the adversary, the Devil, going around as a roaring lion seeketh whom he may devour. Whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing the same afflictions are accomplished in the brethren in the world.” [1st Peter 5:8-9] “But greater is HE that is within you than he that is in the world.” [1st John 4:4b] God gives STRENGTH to HIS people.
The Bible says, “We are more than conquerors through HIM which loves us.” [Romans 8:37] The Bible says, “I am persuaded neither life, nor death, nor angels, nor principalities, things present, neither height nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.” [Romans 8:38-39]
NOTHING, hallelujah, shall be able to separate us from the love of God! Hallelujah! NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING!
Say that with me, “I am persuaded, that NOTHING, is able, to separate me, from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our LORD!” [They repeated this with meaning.]
Do you believe that?? [The congregation replied loudly in the affirmative] You’ve said it and you believe it. It is just about time. The time is up. I praise God for the blessings. God is glorious here. And HE wants to touch! HE wants to re-establish you. HE wants to re-power you!
There is a power, the power that lacks within us. “Now unto HIM that is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think, according to the…” What??? “…the POWER that works WITHIN you.” [Ephesians 3:20]
Remember that! There is a power in here. Call unto God. HE wants to strengthen us. HE desires us to say, “Lord I need YOU this night!”
When I get the most out of it….when I was [first] here tonight I didn’t even feel worthy of standing up. God just touched me from the crown of my head to the very sole of my feet. It was nothing that anyone else felt. But I felt it! I was the one that needed it!
And you here tonight, we are all special in the eyes of God! God sees you as individuals! And God wants to touch you dear hearts tonight!
My time is up. But I LOVE you!!! And GOD loves you! God spoke to me when I spoke tonight, before I spoke, to tell these people “I LOVE YOU!” God LOVES you!! Remember that! God loves you and I am going to be praying for you from this time on, until the time we are in Heaven!!
And, when I walk down the streets of Heaven, I’m going to say, “Glory!”
