A Numb Church

Scripture Reading: Psalm 39:1; Ephesians 2:1-5; 1st John 2:15-17, 20, 27-28; 2nd Peter 1:4-10
The recording opens with some anointed comments from Brother Freedom that he shared prior to the service itself. He testifies about how good God is, how much Brother Freedom trusts God. God does amazing things. His war buddy from Korea remembers that Brother Freedom was not like most soldiers. Freedom was different. Brother Freedom was not the pushy type, even though he was different. That was one time in his life when he knows he truly lived as an overcomer. During those three years Freedom knew that his life might end at any moment. That is why he focused on the Lord. He wanted to be ready to meet God. He never criticized his fellow soldiers. He just tried to be a help to any and all who needed his assistance. Many of those men have passed on. Many of them were older that he was working with. Some had been in World War II. They have gone into eternity.
Brother Freedom’s heart has been so grieved by the fact that so many people’s lives are going to be wasted in a devil’s hell. God is God and HE has the final and supreme voice in the outcome of lives. God has been showing Brother Freedom about the churches of this era. The goal of the modern church has not been to get closer to God, but instead to do the work of God better. And to complicate things they want to do the work of God, but not by HIS direction. They just read the Bible and figure out what they think is the thing to do.
God was talking to Freedom about denominations. A denomination would be like as if Brother Freedom, being a Caterpillar heavy equipment mechanic and operator, should form a church and in order to be a member of that church each one would have to have a piece of Caterpillar machinery in their back yard. That would be a terrible travesty of a denomination. It would be laughable. Such a denomination would hardly fit anyone.
But that is similar to what has happened. Denominations have been formed around the pet doctrines of some founder. God showed Brother Freedom that we have made our denominations a personalized thing based on what some founding fathers loved and thought highly of. The true work of God is bigger than men’s visions! It is gigantic. Men’s denominations are sickening to God!
God has offered us this wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ and yet we don’t grow in the gospel. A vineyard is about growing grapes. A wheat field is about growing wheat. Brother Freedom can see that people really need to seek God.
Suddenly the move of the Holy Ghost comes all over Freedom as the Holy Spirit seems to be saying “Amen” to what Freedom has been sharing.
The service officially begins with the opening, scripture reading and prayers.
Brother Freedom prays for the listeners all over the world. The blessing that God has coming for us, we can’t even understand or fathom. But God has this wonderful future for HIS people. We are HIS children. God is our wonderful Father. God is closer to us than any relative or any husband or wife. God is nearer to us than life itself because God is real and God is forever faithful. God made it possible for HIS people to have great power. HE made it possible for the people of God to have the fullness of the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit. (That is where the power emanates from for the believer on earth today.) Through the Holy Spirit God will abide with us until the day that we are removed from this earth. What a wonderful process that God has for HIS people. It is beyond understanding. It is great and marvelous. “We receive your process, oh Lord with gladness.”
God made this earth. There is nothing wrong with the world, HIS creation. It is what is in the world that is wrong, what has come to pollute God’s creation. God made this earth to be a housing, a place where mankind can live and make a fulfillment to God or choose to live in a time of ignorance of God and HIS plan. Most people don’t even think about the reality of God’s creation and HIS true and wonderful purpose in creation. Others say that they don’t want to think about these important things. They just want to receive Jesus as their savior and then move on to all the other things that are here on earth and to think about those other things.
Brother Freedom says, “When we sit in eternity for a million years, maybe by then we will get to thinking about it.” These things that Brother Freedom is sharing are very serious, life and death truths that will affect millions of years of our future. Christianity is not a play game! It is not a myth! It is not something that someone just hatched up! It is real! All of God’s facts are true. HE made the world and all that is in it. It is all by HIM! The reason God did this is because HE was seeking for a family. Adam and Eve even failed God. They were new kids. There was no death at that beginning time, until Adam and Eve sinned and brought death into existence. Sin brought forth death. Then Cain and Able, Adam and Eve’s children, were caught up in sin as Cain killed his brother Able. Murder has been a part of life here ever since,… many adulterous problems.
God has set up boundaries around us. God is the director behind where we live. We have got to accept that fact. We have got to live in this world in such a way that we are not really desiring this world, but this world is just here. (Kind of like a nice motel when we are traveling. We don’t want to buy the motel. We just stop on our way to another place. We may enjoy the amenities of the motel. But, we move on because we have an important destination that totally eclipses any motel on the route. — brother clint heard this insight as Freedom was preaching)
This world is a symbol of evilness (kind of like the Tree Of The Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden). We go through this world, but we must be partakers of the Lord continuously. We are not partakers of this world. We are partakers of God (if we are God’s child).
The reason for this is because the creation here has been infiltrated by evil and there is something satanic in the world itself that draws away or sucks out our spiritual life and drains us. It drains our energies that God has put in us, and pretty soon we are lifeless. We become without hope. We have no strength. Then we become sick, intolerable. We stop understanding things because we also become blinded by the hidden powers that have invaded the creation.
Brother Freedom compares this blindness to what he saw on his trip to Haiti. There are rats there at night that will attack a sleeping baby and chew off the baby’s toes and gnaw on the babies legs. The rats seem to have something in their saliva that is like a pain killer and the baby does not feel very much pain. Then in the morning the baby is screaming in agony.
This is what Satan does to Christians if he can. If we don’t stay close enough to the Lord then we get numb. We get a darkness, a blindness that fools us. We think we are fine. But in reality our spiritual legs are being cut off. Our life lines to the Lord are being cut off. But God made us that we might be a free and living soul forever. But the only way we can achieve this is staying in God all the time, walking in victory all the time, walking in God’s promises, praising HIM and loving HIM, feeling that healing touch, the agape power. [The anointing is increasing at this point on Brother Freedom.]
Without the agape power of God by the Holy Spirit we are missing the true way. We are really walking in self instead of in the Spirit of God. Self dissolves our life lines and connections and power also. Self takes away our first love for God. Brother Freedom was speaking with some believers a few days before this message. This couple still attend a Pentecostal church that Brother Freedom attended in years gone by. Brother Freedom left that church after they threw out a pastor who was desirous for the move of the Holy Ghost. The church leaders cast that man of God out and put a cold preacher in his place. But this husband and wife that Brother Freedom met still attend that church and they agreed with Brother Freedom that the visible church has lost its “first love.” This couple, as they compared the past times with the present had to admit that the church they attend had gone backwards from where it had once been.
Each one of us have to struggle with keeping our “first love” for God. That “first love” is what you felt on the day you came to Jesus and HE saved you. None of us are so advanced or so big that don’t have to pray, “Lord, you need to help me this day!”
The Prince of the Power of the Air (the devil) spoken of in Ephesians 2:2.
[“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:…”]
Satan is in this world working. There is nothing wrong with the world, it is just whose occupying it! Satan is here and as God’s people we need to have enough of God that we can offset Satan. But we haven’t got enough of God to offset the devil. We can’t go down to the hospital and command the sick to be made well. It is because we only have a few in the visible church who even believe in that manner. We instead lean on doctors. Doctors are fine. That is the system of this world. But God’s system is eternal life, eternal power, eternal correction. (In other words God’s system is infinitely greater than the world system). God is without any fault.
Our governments would rise and shine without having problems if they were directed by God. But instead we go our own way. Dictators come along and make war on someone else. Pretty soon we have wars going. That is the way it has been from the beginning of time to the present. It is because of the evilness that has invaded the creation of God. This world changes more and more for the enemy.
Freedom remembers that when he was a little boy things were so primitive. Many places did not have running water. Folks had to get their water using hand pumps and buckets from wells or by dipping out of creeks. But today we have everything one can imagine. We have unimaginable entertainments in places like Las Vegas. People love to be entertained and to gamble. People love the sinful things like gambling and lustful shows. They can’t get enough of it.
But the result of these activities is that people lose their money. They have no hope. Some commit suicide. And Satan sits back and just laughs saying, “Oh, I just love it. I got another one!”
See, the churches were to be that strength that God had in this hour that they would come against lawlessness and come against all these wrong dealings. But the church is not there! [Brother Freedom is not talking about a church that demonstrates or pickets or boycotts. No, Brother Freedom is talking about a church that falls upon its knees and touches Heaven and the mighty hand of God comes down and changes things for the better!]
The church never taught their people that “…they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” [Isaiah 40:31]
The church has not taught their people to “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” [Jeremiah 33:3]
The church has not taught their people to forsake the way of the world. The church has not forsaken the way of the world! We are to forsake this world’s way and draw nigh or near unto God. These are opposites to each other.
God is here to supernaturally help us, but we are so blinded by darkness. We feel nothing. We are numb. God wants our senses to be enlightened. HE wants us to put on the blessed hope. We need to be looking for the glorious appearance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God is here to raise us up to a Heavenly calling. HE is here to help us, that we might obtain a level that will be above reproach.
Brother Freedom quotes from Second Peter 1:4 where it speaks about the precious promises that we have been given that we might take on God’s DIVINE NATURE. God’s divine nature is the opposite of Satan. But most Christians are taking on the power of darkness. If you take on darkness you are going to produce darkness!
God has so many angels and one single angel of God could defeat the entire United States Army. [There is a story in the Bible about a single angel who massacred an army of over 100,000 men.] God’s power is beyond our imagination. Who do we think we are, coming against God’s ways?? God has allowed us to live here on HIS earth. It is only through HIS grace that the Sun shines.
Look at all the strange weather in the world today. God is showing us how HE can play “hard ball.” But people only see the strange weather as an odd happening. [God talks on the Weather Channel, but men are not listening]. God controls all things.
God told Brother Freedom about a girl that was going to have an accident and that he needed to pray for her that her life would be saved. And in three hours he witnessed the accident and her life was saved through prayer.
Another time Brother Freedom was riding in a logging pickup through a freshly burnt out forest and the Holy Ghost spoke to him telling him that a huge burned out tree was about to crush them. Freedom shouted at the driver to back up. When the driver was slow to respond Freedom reached out toward the gear shift and begged the driver to back up. As the driver did as he was told a gigantic tree crashed down on the spot where they had been.
God is very merciful because HE wants us to live eternally with HIM. God doesn’t want to have to put us away in a devil’s hell. How awful it must make God feel to see so many of HIS creation choosing Hell, resisting God’s warnings.
Brother Freedom’s heart is broken by the thought of people falling into Hell. God gave HIS only begotten Son that this would not happen. But we have played church. We tell people just come like you are, it’s okay. You don’t have to do anything else. Just come. That is hog wash! Hogs can do better than that!
Brother Freedom is very upset by the way churches have played around. It is terrible when you cause people to fall into a devil’s hell and many churches are doing just that. God wants to cause us to live. These are two opposites. Brother Freedom tells about the many wrong spirits he has seen working in churches.
The churches are full of confusion and where there is confusion there is every evil work! [See James 3:16] We need to wake up. We need to seek revival. But few want revival. In fact that is a negative word in the churches today. Don’t use that word they say. That’s a bad word in this church.
Such activity actually denies that God exists. Government leaders do that. They deny that God exists.
God can only be approached through the avenues, the ways of holiness. God is totally pure. That is why Jesus came because there was no way that men could reach God or connect to God. Mankind is too fallen and impure and God is so pure that no man can stand in God’s presence and live. [Brother Clint likes to say that God is like bleach and we are like mold. Mold can’t live in a bleach bottle!]
Jesus Christ became that way into God’s presence. Jesus lived that perfect, holy and pure life and opened a route to God through HIMSELF (through Jesus).
If you have it God’s way you will enjoy God in the hereafter. But if you have it the world’s way now you will have it Satan’s way in the eternities to come. You’re going to miss it (eternal life).
This eternal life business HAS CONDITIONS!!
Then Brother Freedom speaks a direct word of prophecy from Heaven:
“ALL PROPHECY HAS CONDITIONS!”
Israel didn’t take heed to all God’s prophetic words to them. They missed out on some of God’s promises because they didn’t meet the conditions. That is why Brother Freedom had Psalm 39:1 read:
“I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.” [Psalm 39:1]
We need to wake up our minds, shake our minds awake!
We need to cast off ALL the works of darkness, not part! God’s way is not halfway, but all the way. God’s way is totally pure. Everything that Satan has is mixture. That is what makes Satan’s stuff so nasty. It is MIXTURES. It has got sin in it. Sin spoils the broth. Sin makes everything of no profit.
When sin came into the Garden of Eden God had to chase Adam and Eve out of the Garden. When sin gets in the world God has to chase us out too. [Death removes people from the face of the earth] God has a way in which HE wants us to come to HIM.
Brother Freedom declares that he will stand by himself for God if need be. Brother Freedom is totally for God!
Yes, Brother Freedom is still sickly. But that makes no difference. God has allowed the sickliness on Freedom because some of the listeners are sick too. [Brother Freedom always had great health until these later years. He has often said that he didn’t really understand what people went through in sickness fully until now. It has helped Brother Freedom to identify with the needs of people.]
Heaven is Brother Freedom’s permanent residence! This condition and address here is just temporary for a few days. Up there is for millions of years.
Brother Freedom gets so blessed just thinking about seeing Jesus and living with God in Heaven.
Korea was a great learning ground for Brother Freedom, even though he was just a born again believer who knew nothing about the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Yet God’s hand caused shells not to explode when they landed near Freedom. In war you are so busy that you don’t think about much else.
God’s been telling Freedom that folks are so busy that they are missing out with God. That is why we need to keep our minds stayed on God. The world has so much busy stuff to offer that will zap us and rob us. God wants to enable us to be a blessing, but our minds need to be focused on HIM. When we concentrate on a problem it takes our focus from the Lord.
Here is a focus point: We can get so engrossed in current events and the newspaper and in TV and other media, even though we are Christians, that we get into a problem. The problem is that when Jesus comes HE is coming for those that are looking for HIS coming. If our focus is way off from that we are in jeopardy of missing out. [See Titus 2:12-15 and 2nd Peter 3:11-12]
Brother Freedom just loves to wait upon God. God makes it so easy in many ways. God helps Freedom even to find a parking place for his vehicle.
In 1st John2:20 it says, “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” Brother Freedom explains that we can seek and have the move of the Holy Spirit. And that this working of the Spirit of God is almost like having a Heavenly Computer Chip installed within. Through the Holy Spirit you just begin to know things by revelation. You know it in your knower!
