Saturday Breakfast in the School of the Spirit

What the Lord is showing me [is that] the church is like two ranch foreman that are on a ranch. They took the agreement from the owner. The owner says, “Now I want you to run this ranch as I want to run it. I know you are good men, but I want to do this myself. I want you to just let what I say, through you, go out in the various ways, that you might respect my wishes.”

So this one man, he does exactly what the owner says. The other man says [to himself], “You know I would like to run this ranch myself. I’m going to do it for him [the owner]. The owner is going to get more that way.

The second man doesn’t understand that the husbandman already went and he searched out all the climates. He seen what was going to take on all the long forecasts. And this foolish second foreman thought he knew all. So he goes ahead his own way. And he is building this work. And pretty soon, when the end comes there is a calamity because the climate wasn’t like what he thought. And the owner came to the foreman and says, “Why didn’t you go my way?”

“Well,” answers the foolish foreman, “I thought I was doing this for YOU.”

The owner says, “I didn’t tell you to do it that way. I told you that I would be the one: ALWAYS come to me!”

And this is what the church has done. It is doing it’s own thing. It becomes many, many, many pastors. It is their work. It is their calling. They love the prestige. They love the attention of the people. They LOVE the praises. And it is PRIDE within them that is causing this terrible thing to ignite. And it is coming, an epidemic throughout this World.

And this one little nobody over here, is listening to the voice of God. And he is hearing. His plants WILL come forth. And because at the right time they are going to come. And these others [the foolish pastors] are going to dry away. And this is from the Spirit of God.

…Jesus spoke when He was with His disciples. He says that they will go out to proclaim the Gospel. And because they didn’t proclaim the Gospel like they should He says, “Okay, I’ll go out to the streets now. And I really believe that is what this was. And I believe this is that close, that God went out in the streets and they received it not too. But HE did it as a direct promise of what Jesus said. And I believe that. I believe that God wants to touch HIS people. And I believe HIS coming is very, very soon! I believe that HE is at the door. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” [Luke 21:28]

I was listening to the news. And this man says, “You know, pretty soon there is going to be problems everywhere. There is going to be diseases that we don’t know how to cope with.” And Israel is in a difficult place right now. But also there is a formula that is being layed by the wrong things that germs can come into this Land, but they won’t know how to deal with them. And that is a real scary situation if we don’t have the Lord.

The Bible says, “…look up…your redemption draweth nigh” And it says in Revelations 12:17 that HE will have a “remnant” that God is going to bring out. And I believe that! I believe HE is coming very soon.

I believe HIS Word has been given. And I don’t know why that people don’t want to yield to the Spirit of God. I don’t understand that. I really can’t understand it.

When we had revival, everybody was receiving it. I lived through this. And after a while, I guess the hardness of times came. And pretty soon this revival was no longer there. Then there was CHANGE. And I saw this time after time.

Then the pastor would get to praying. The pastor would say, “Boy, I better bring revival again.” So he would get a call and get an evangelist. And one week, two weeks. Sometimes it took six weeks to break through! But then they would have breakthrough. And people were back in the [right place]. They would be praising God.

We are sort of like, really a lot like Israel. We [in the church] are real similiar to Israel. We are real similiar even though we have been grafted in. We are real similiar in our work habits, our living habits, to our praise, our glory. We get COLD. And then we get HOT. And there is in-between [lukewarm].

And God chooses that we will be hot.

HE has made an inheritance that fades not away reserved in Heaven for us, that we might put on HIS nature. And that is what people have forgotten. HIS nature is given through the Spirit of God! That is the only way we can attain it, through the Spirit.

HE wants to put HIS part of HIM within this old dirty, miry clay, and rebuild us. But it is very transparent. It doesn’t last, like our body is not going to last. This [the working of the Spirit] is also more transparent than our body, actually. And we have to tend to it everyday, taking on the manna of God.

The Manna that was represented back in Israel, that same Manna is God’s Spirit filled people. We have to totally come, daily, and say, “Lord, I can’t make it! I can’t make it, even though YOU fill me with thy precious Holy Spirit, I need a renewing even greater, even more powerful, more blessed than I ever been in my life. I need it for this day! I need a re-touch. that THOU might live in me, that I might be a responsible, a holy vessel, without spot or wrinkle. That I would set my eyes to the hills whence cometh my help. For my help comes from YOU this day. And I will make a joyful noise to the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before HIS presence with singing.”

That is what God’s people need. God wants to orchestrate, as a member of an orchestra that we take that place, that God, the sweet aroma of God will come in through our being. That God says, “Hey, that is MY child! He is on tune! He has proven out, as I direct him, that I will move upon him.”

The Bible says, “…no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly…” before HIM. [See Psalm 84:11] “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14:27b] “…God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” [2nd Timothy 1:7]

The enemy is coming in. But, like a flood God will raise up a standard against him. Like a flood God will raise up a standard against him! [See Isaiah 59:19. The Spirit of God has shown Brother Freedom that the translators have placed the comma in the wrong place. The comma should be after the word “in,” not after the word “flood.”]

It will be God’s delight to make a “standard.” “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4b] And God is bringing a poise upon HIS people, a blessing upon HIS people, that HIS people will no longer be mocked. But that those round about, even though they may not come to it, they will say, “I can see something and it is not that man. It is something beyond that man. And it is a good something.”

They won’t know what the “something” is. But we know it is NOT us! It is the Spirit! That we can take NO credit for anything that is going on. All we can say is, “Lord, I thank YOU Lord that you have chosen me. And YOU made me to be acceptable with the calling that you have layed upon me, that I might be blessed for YOU!” That we might be that blessing! And I believe that that’s what God wants!

Message at the Rescue Mission

God is good, an ever present help in the time of need. “…and HE knoweth them that trust in HIM.” [Nahum 1:7b] God is for real! Tonight I want to say God is real!

You know the Bible even says that some of the things we see pass away. But God never passes away. HE is going to be here when it is all over with. HE is still going to be here. HE is going to be here in HIS glory! And I praise God for HIS goodness, for HIS blessings.

Father God in the Name of Jesus we praise YOU this day. We thank YOU for thy blessings.

Saturday Breakfast in the School of the Spirit

…but you know, when you really start thinking about it, THAT is what God expects us to do when we are first saved: put off our “former conversation.” [See Ephesians 4:22] What was our “old man?” It was swearing. It was probably telling dirty stories. It was lying. It says, “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” [Colossians 3:9-10] We are members one to another. We are not to lie [to] our brother, our sister. We are to have a wholesome attitude. And this is getting to where it is NOT taught!

When we come to the Lord we say, “Well, you know, God’s going to….” We need to deal with these things! You know, our lusts, our pride and things that cause us to fret. The Bible says, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, …” [Psalms 37:1] And we are NOT to fret! We are to “…give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” [Hebrews 2:1]

And when we read the Word of God, the teachings of Jesus, HE told us that we are not to have any dis-belief in God. So much does God clothe the sparrow, will HE not take care of you, oh ye of little faith? And HE says whatsoever more of this is sin. So God wants us to rely totally on HIM, that I don’t even have to pray [concerning myself]. I don’t even have to pray! I have got belief in God. In Romans 15:13 it says, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” [Romans 15:13]

Hope is in God! There is no way that we can get it by mustering any other way.

God is really wonderful! And I feel that we really need to zero in on these passages of scripture, that we can read and absorb for ourselves.

You know I was thinking last night, and I will share this, that I have a formula that I try to live by. Probably no one but me does it. But when I get up and I’m not even where I should be in prayer. I pray.

I generally say, “Good morning Lord” and [so forth]. But I am not REALLY where I should be to pray. So if I will quote the Scripture for about an hour or two hours, without stopping, it gets an atmosphere that I can pray. And when you pray and you PRAISE God things just happen.

I think there is no substitute for the Word [the Scripture]. BUT, God has spoken to me here lately that even in the Word the Spirit brings forth life. The letter [of the Word] killeth! “…for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” [2nd Corinthians 3:6b] So “the letter of the Word” can bring us down, even as good as it is. We NEED the energizing [of the Spirit of God to vitalize the Word].

It is just like diesel fuel and air. Unless they are mixed together thoroughly in the right way an engine won’t run. But when they are measured out exactly, properly, according to the governor that operates the engine, it does what it is supposed to do. So many centimeters of fuel in there with such a volume of air causes it to fire. And that is the way we are! OOOH! GLORY TO GOD!

It says, take heed! “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against THEE.” [Psalm 119:11] The Word of God is powerful. The Bible says, “…the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” [Hebrews 4:12] And it can divide asunder all the things that are crooked, the things that bring us down.

The Word of God is able to do this! BUT we need the ministration of the Spirit WITH it! We need to get them to harness up together. You talk about harnessing atomic power. Well, we have a power here. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh *IN US*,” [Ephesians 3:20] Within US!!!

There is a power that is *IN* *US* that is beyond any measure of the atomic bomb, because we can move mountains! You can move mountains!! We can move mountains. There is NO limitation what a man of God, really, through faith can do!

There is going to be some things that is going to shock the World, when it is over with, that men have done through prayer! No one knew it. And God also lets me believe, because it is in the Word: When you go to pray in the closet, where no one knows, God will reward you openly! [See Matthew 6:6]

It [the Bible] says not to pray to be seen. It says if we do so we are going to have our reward right then. [See Matthew 6:5] There is some of these things we don’t want. We don’t want any attention to US! And the more we get this way, and give it to God, the more powerfully God works within us.

Why most people are so limited in their work schedule is because they are only giving God a little bit. And they take credit for all the rest of it! And God says, “Hey, you are an old hard head! You are a big shot!”

God wants us to dissolve ourselves that HE is everything. And I believe it! “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye might ABOUND in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” [Romans 15:13] That is what the Word says.

And also it says, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy…” [Jude 1:24] Isn’t that glorious!

That is what God wants to do! We can’t do it by ourselves. What we need [is] the togetherness [of the Word and the Spirit]. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” [1st Corinthians 2:14]

The Spiritual man, I’m sorry to say this, but there is too much competition [in the Church]. And that is what God is really against. There should be no competition one to another. We should prefer our brother before ourselves. “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” [Galatians 6:1] “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” [Galatians 6:2]

We need to have a humility experience with God. And that is why we are not getting it, because we are too prideful.

Men, we are prideful. That is why women do better [in the church], because they are not so prideful. Men are just pride, pride, pride. It is IN us! And the only way it can be broken is going back. We put OFF the former things. [Ephesians 4:22]

Pride will bring me down! I have to have humility or I am not going any place! And that is what God wants: to break us. We are like a colt. God wants to break us. Oh hallelujah!

Talk about those donkeys [in Wales]. {We had been talking about the donkeys in the mines in Wales in 1906. When the revival broke out, so many miners were converted that the miners returned to the mines with no curse words. The donkeys were so used to hearing bad words for commands that production slowed way down until the donkeys could learn the new pure language of the saved miners!}

God wants us to only hear one voice. “My sheep hear MY voice. They come at MY call. And a stranger they do not know.” [Freedom’s paraphrase of John 10:1-5] “The enemy comes to kill, destroy and to steal. But I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” [Paraphrase of John 10:10 “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power…” [John 1:11-12a]

God is offering us POWER beyond Cummings [a diesel engine brand], beyond Caterpillar, beyond any power of this World. God has offered us power in our lives. It is available.

Shame on me for not being where I should be. There is a table that is OPEN that is spread to us while we are living, right now! It is a spiritual table. But people are not receiving it!

And there was a message given the other day that people are coming back from the table. God won’t go our way! We have to go God’s way! It is God’s way, not our way!

And that is what the pastors have done. I love you” (Freedom directs the “I love you” to a pastor sitting with us at the breakfast table), but I am saying that is what the pastors have done. They have made it THEIR choices. But God wants to have HIS choice! [God says,] “Pastor you are mine now! And I will lead you, and you are going to have great and mighty miracles!”

But the pastor says, “No, no, I’m going to go my way.”

God says, “Well, you won’t have any miracles. You’ll just do it in your own hard head!”

I think the other day God called them “Doctor Rub-board” [in a prophetic message]. {A rub-board is an odd musical instrument worn on the chest that makes a grating noise when stroked. The rub-board is also an old means of washing clothes.}

God wants to bless HIS people. And I tell people this and they won’t even listen. God wants to bless them! But there is a way that you get blessed. The only way to do it is to take the Word and follow it.

Most people, now days, won’t listen to anybody if they are over 25 years old! The young ones will not listen.

Rescue Mission Sermon, April 26, 2003

God is good! [Someone in the crowd adds, “All the time!”] Amen, “all the time,” isn’t HE? God is forever faithful.

I feel so humble to come here because I realize that I am nothing. But I know ONE that is everything, ONE that can keep you through times when you are discouraged, when the time that you don’t know which way to go, the presence of the Almighty. HE says, “I will never leave you. I will never forsake you.” [See Hebrews 13:5b] “I will be your God, and they shall be MY people.” [See Hebrews 8:10]

…give thee an everlasting love. And I shall give thee a blessing that cannot be EXHAUSTED in no way by the evil realm. And I shall TOUCH thee from the very crown of your head to the very soul of thy feet that thou might be a profitable vessel, that thou would walk the streets of glory, and thou would be MY child. And I the Lord thy God shall KEEP thee this way if thou shall condense thyself unto ME. For I AM calling those that will dissolve themselves, the old way, the old path and come close to ME.

Outstanding Rescue Mission Service, March 22, 2003

I’m nothing to clap for! God is good! {Many amens are heard.} I am NOTHING! God is EVERYTHING! And I appreciate my Father SO much! Glory! I feel the joy of the Lord in my being tonight! HE is REAL! HE is very faithful!

You know what? There is nothing that can compete [with] what GOD is. HIS glories are forevermore.
