We Need To Put On God’s Nature

Scripture Reading: 2nd Peter 1:1-10
As Brother Freedom prays he mentions that with 2nd Peter 1:1-10 a Bible College could be built on the truths contained in that passage alone. It is that rich in truth. We need to put on God’s nature because we are God’s children. God set us free. God wants us to grow and look like HIM, act like HIM, smell like God, follow HIM, go through things with HIM in a mighty way. God wants us to walk in the direction of seeking the Holy Ghost, led by God’s Spirit, in a clear direction. In the way of the Spirit there is no guessing because we KNOW! There is no good thing in the flesh. We know, that through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost is how all these wonderful things of God come to pass.
Brother Freedom notes that in this message we are going to get into areas that the modern church doesn’t even know anything about. But we should have been looking into these areas 50 years ago. [50 years ago was 1961, the era of the Charismatic awakening. But in that awakening they were focused on signs and wonders, not taking on God’s nature.]
“Grace and peace be MULTIPLIED unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,…” [2nd Peter 1:2]
God desired that there was to be a MULTIPLICATION in HIS people and in HIS church. But this MULTIPLICATION was never even born, never came to pass. The churches have been so stunted that they never even got to “first base” (speaking in baseball terminology). They “struck out!” Brother Freedom is not talking about growing in numbers of people. He is speaking under the anointing about multiplication in the heights and depths of purity and power in the Spirit of God. Multiplication in God is quite a challenge. It can effect our entering in to Heaven. The spiritual life is like baseball. We proceed from first base to second, to third base and then on to “home plate.” Home plate is representative of Heaven. Our eternal life can be jeopardized if we don’t understand the importance of growth and multiplication in God.
In this baseball game of eternal life the players against you are the workers of the devil himself. We are like a baseball player who is going around the bases. He is the only one from his team out there in the dangers of the opposing team. He is alone, but for the Spirit of God. All around are the players of the enemy looking for a way to tag that player “OUT” of action.
Our blessings in God should multiply! Why should they multiply?? Because we are to put on the divine nature of God.
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,…” [2nd Peter 1:4a]
This divine nature consists of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, the entire richness of the nature of God. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit all work together. They are a perfect unity, moved by the Spirit of God. We are to have an unction in God that is beyond the understanding of mortal men, beyond the understanding of the natural man. That is why God says we must pursue this with all of our might.
Then this passage speaks of faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity (agape love). All these are backups in greater power as we go forth.
In the past we never engaged hard things. We took the soft and easy route. In actuality we just praised and worshiped God, but that stopped because we got into emotionalism. People went to church because it made them feel good. You sinned all week, but you went to church and it felt so good you said, “I’m okay! I’m okay!” Self just loves going to the emotional church and feeling good, covering up sin with positive emotions. You just feel so good!
God says, he chastises those whom he loveth. [See Hebrews 12:6]. God wants us to grow up to serve HIM. But in the “natural way” you grow up and you serve yourself, and you adorn more of your own people, those that are just like you. You will take something off or from a man, but you won’t take or receive from God. [Have you ever noticed how churches love to give out plaques and awards and certificates to their members??]
God is THE POWER. We need to get used to God now because if your are not used to God now, you might be afraid to live with HIM forever when you have never gotten used to HIS ways. Why is this?? Because God is a consuming power! HE is beyond any description of terror. But God is also love. HE is everything. HE is the first, the last, the beginning, the end, the top the bottom, the in and the out!! HE is everything! There is no logic in ourselves that can comprehend God. We have not the logic that is capable of dealing with the things of God. We practice in our church the practice of God, but we don’t live the life and nature of God. We are far from it, because we have NOT got the nature of God!
The child of God is to abstain from all appearance of evil. [See 1st Thessalonians 5:22] If you know something is not right there were you are…Brother Freedom has quit jobs because something in that job was not right. God expects us to have HIS nature so within us that HE does not have to speak to us all the time. We just know when something does not seem right, or fit right. Then God says, “Go on what you know (in the Spirit of God)!” See, God wants us to grow up. If God was out here every day saying go left, turn right… you would just be a little child. A pastor should not be given every single turn and direction. A good pastor is so close to God and has the nature of God that he knows in his spirit that something is incorrect, or proper.
The renewing of our minds by God can do this. [See Romans 12:2; and Titus 3:5] The renewing brings the counsel, the direction of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, with the authority of God that is in you, that you become a living reality of God. God says, “That’s MY child who is taking on MY nature! He’s doing MY will! He is following after ME!”
It makes the heart of God so pleased when you take on HIS nature.
Brother Freedom speaks these things, but he does not speaking these things because he is anybody special. People contemn Brother Freedom at times saying, “You can’t say that!” But they need to put on the nature of God. Brother Freedom doesn’t claim to be a pastor or a prophet or anything special. But Brother Freedom says, “I’m working on taking on HIS nature!” When you take on HIS nature you take on the heirship of God the Father. HE becomes greater than your calling! Your calling is where God directs you, moves upon you. You take on the heirship of God and through that Brother Freedom receives an unction from Heaven, not of men. His credentials do not come from man. His credentials come from God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. If that is not good enough, you need to go the other way, because Brother Freedom has nothing for you if you believe he must have the credentials of men. All authority that Brother Freedom has does not come from himself. It is from God!
We are to grow in the nature. How do you do that?? You become saved, first step. And then you take on following God. This hopefully comes to your church. But, the pastor has to follow the same thing that Brother Freedom is preaching about here or you as a church member and attender are not going to advance! You will not go anywhere significant if you stay around a church that does not believe in taking on the nature of God. You can go no where unless you take on the divine nature of God!
This also comes by surrendering, getting rid of the “old man.” This takes a time period. If you have anger it can still crop up sometime until God renews you until that anger does not happen any longer. It is a slow process. Most of it takes all of our life. At the end of life, if you progress, you are ready for Heaven! Our eyes are totally on God. This can be done through the Spirit of God. When you reach a level in the divine nature then you can pray for someone and you will know they are going to recover! Brother Freedom has reached this level. He knows when folks are going to be healed when he is directed to pray by the Spirit of God.
Suddenly the Spirit of God comes upon Brother Freedom in a mighty increase of anointing and in a word of knowledge. He speaks a word of knowledge over some man that is listening to this recording. That man has a problem that God needs to take care of. That man knows who he is. Brother Freedom speaks, “Bring healing to his body right now in Jesus Name! Amen” Brother Freedom says that God is present at this moment to endue with power. You need to be listening to this message because God has a time. It may be five years from now that you hear this, but this word will be activated at that time.
See, God is not retarded (held back) on anything. And if we work for HIM we are not retarded either. We are living by HIS strength. We are living by HIS morals. God’s morals are really HIGH! God has a keenness that is beyond understanding. HE will endue us with power, a supernatural understanding that we could never know in ourselves. We can’t get it through a college. We can’t get it through teachings. But this can be done if the pastor is where he should be. The pastor can preach just as Brother Freedom is doing in this message through the mystery of anointed preaching. There is something mighty that God has put into anointed preaching that makes changes in us.
But, this has not been taking place in the modern church. The preaching has all been in the natural man. And the natural man has a tendency of getting upset, losing his temper, has trouble with lusts. All these things that come in the natural body. Nevertheless, this Nature of God is for every believer if they seek. Unless God renews your nature continuously you are going to fall back into the natural man with lusts, confusion and all manner of problems.
There are no guarantees that you can coast along and keep the nature of God! Brother Freedom has to renew every day in God. We live in a glass house that is so shaky, so delicate. The only thing that keeps us together is Jesus Christ, the power of the glory of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God touches us all the time. We are no match for the difficulties of life that we face in ourselves! We face the things of darkness. But greater is HE that is in us than all the things that are in the world, if you walk by God, when you take on HIS nature!
You cannot do it in the flesh!! You are going to end up in the “poor house.” If your church has no spiritual gifts, then that is the “POOR HOUSE!” It is a poor house!! In your church there should be gifts of God moving through your midst, by the scores, multiplying. But it is still done by the Spirit of God! In the church where the Spirit of God moves there are no “big I’s” or “little you’s”…it is all God!! It is nothing you have done or I have done that warrants anything. Brother Freedom’s righteousness in God’s eyes is just “filthy rags.” Whom the Son sets free is free indeed [See John 8:36] So, when Jesus set us free we become more than conquerors through HIM that loved us… [Romans 8:37] so that someday we can parade through Heaven with the gifts of God! And one day we are going to parade.
Brother Freedom gets so blessed with the revelation of the saints parading through Heaven. God is going to say, “Well done thou good and faith servant!”
But then the Lord looks upon another one and says, “I’ve never seen you…I don’t understand you.” This other servant has never come to know God in intimacy. God knows them after a manner, but not in intimacy. Many believers are not well known to God. They are know by HIM factually, but not intimately! You were supposed to grow into the divine nature and into intimacy with God.
That is what Peter was speaking about when he was inspired to write:
“…add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” [2nd Peter 1:5-7]
All these are a product of God’s nature becoming your nature. [By the way, the word “knowledge” here is talking about intimate knowledge more than intellectual knowledge.]
When you have the nature of God working in you, you know things in the Spirit so fast. When Brother Freedom was a younger Christian God spoke more in sentences. But now God speaks to Brother Freedom less in sentences and more in instant revelation that is faster than words.
If you are walking in the nature of God then you keep going forward following the last directive of God until God gives a new command or direction by the Spirit of God.
You waver and faint when you are not where you should be. The anointing of the Holy Ghost breaks all the yokes and bondages and powers of darkness. You don’t worry about the things of darkness when you are walking in the nature of God, under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, filled with the Spirit of God. You care for those who are unlovely and hurting, because you love the lost soul of fallen people. You have a love for the weak, spiritually weak.
When a person becomes spiritually weak they are marching in a suicide direction. Suddenly Brother Freedom speaks prophetically by the Spirit of God! Mark this: “The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is currently going in a suicide direction!! And I prophecy that if you don’t get right, you are going to lose your crown! God don’t want you to be a loser. But I will guarantee you, you need to straighten up and start acting and rewarding HIS nature.”
It isn’t what Dr. Kingking said. It is what God says! It is not what your denomination says! It is what God says! It is the Spirit of God that leads you, independently! When you take on HIS NATURE you are going to have to have fellowship with HIM all the time! And God does not have to tell you everything because you KNOW! You abstain from all appearance of evil. That is the first thing you learn. You pray, in everything, giving thanks always to the Father whose worthy of all praise.
The Israelites could not enter into the promised land (the first time) because they were not thankful for all that God had done and was doing for them. They were walking in rebellion. When you rebel and are not thankful: that is where the church is right now. The church is rebelling against the Spirit of God. They are rebelling. They don’t want the move of the Spirit in their churches. That is rebellion. It means they have no power. They have a name. They have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. The Bible says from such turn away from. [See 2nd Timothy 3:5]
Brother Freedom has come into conflict with organized churches because they disagree with what he says about the need and necessity of the move of the Holy Spirit in services. But Brother Freedom brings out that the visible churches are not fulfilling by the power of the Holy Ghost. All that they do and accomplish is by their own fleshly power and brilliance. If the Holy Ghost is not first in a church you better get out of that church and make sure you start aligning yourself as a child following the direction of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will teach you. He will bring you to a place where you can start growing. [Brother Freedom teaches that we need the Word of God, the Bible and the direction of the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit. It takes both in great concentration. That is why he teaches we must “eat the Word of God” and seek the fullness of the Spirit of God.]
Right now the churches are withering. They are very dry. You are not sure of your direction. All these are signs that failure is on it’s way. You don’t need failure any longer. You need growth. You need a direction toward Heaven. You need to keep your eyes upon the Lord. HE is the only ONE that can help you!! HE is the only ONE that can provide for you!
Brother Freedom tells about how God covers us when we make mistakes. He tells the story of how he was washing clothes Washing clothes is a tough shore for him. His wife did that before her passing, and he had to learn to do it in these later years. Since his stroke it is harder and he forgets things. So he prayed for God to overshadow and help him as he went to the laundry room on a certain day.
He accidently lost two candy bars in his clothes that went into the dryer. The dryer is owned by the apartment complex. When he realized his mistake he was so sad. He was sure that the candy bars would break open and damage the dryer. He would have to pay to repair the dryer. But when he opened the dryer the candy bars had stayed sealed. He rejoiced mightily in God. God had covered his mistake and protected him from himself.
In life there are things that you are going to do that are stupid, but God is there to take you through it. But, you need to have the starting point of being the child of God, walking in HIS nature. The Holy Spirit knew that Brother Freedom was going to make a mistake in his laundry that day and so the Holy Spirit directed Brother Freedom to pre-pray for God’s help in what most folks think is a simple task. But we can have problems even in simple tasks. We need God at all times. When you walk in that manner there is blessing, strength and power. Wherever you are God will go with you if you are seeking HIM and HIS nature. You are going to make mistakes, even though you are filled with the Holy Spirit. But God understands we are made of dust. God will meet your need if you have done all that you can do.
When you pray you should pray for yourself first. Sometimes God wants you to pray for yourself to be healed. Praying for yourself is not selfish. We need to pray for ourselves that we can help others. If we are sick or troubled we cannot be as much help to others.
Brother Freedom tells about an issue of blood that he had. The emergency room couldn’t seem to find the trouble. God said pray for yourself and God would heal it. The Lord did exactly that. Brother Freedom tells the details of how the issue of blood disappeared in a few moments and did not return.
We need to grow to the place that we pray, “Lord help me this day!” That is part of taking on HIS nature, which is seeking HIM for help. As God helps you, you receive more of HIS nature.
Brother Freedom speaks about the two directions that are ahead. It is either Heaven or Hell. There is no in between. Brother Freedom declares that for all the years that he has eaten the Word of God, Brother Freedom sees clearly that God wants us to come into the perfection of God. Coming into perfection is part of growing in God.
It is like school. You start in kindergarten, but you can go as far as college and beyond. We should grow as much as we can. [Brother Freedom has often said, “The sky is the limit in God.”] Sad to say the church is not there today. Many of us are not there today. We have become stunted.
God is here to touch you in a mighty way.
Call upon the Lord. Tell HIM what your need is. HE knows where you are. God wants to be your parent. You don’t have to be an orphan who needs another saint to pray for you. You can pray too! God wants to hear your prayer.
It is time to encourage yourself and others to pray for themselves. You take on the nature of God day by day. You endure hardness as a good soldier of the Lord. You lay aside every weight and sin that so easily besets you and you run that race with patience. You must be renewed daily.
